I have a feeling this speech will be an emotional one and will watch on line.

Call a call earlier this p.m. I’m now the proud holder of a ticket to the ex-President Bush reception to be held in Midland, TX on Tuesday afternoon. It’s a 90-mile drive, but I want to attend. I was there when he left Midland for Washington that cold day in January 2001. I disagree with some of his decisions, more than a few actually, but he kept us safe after that terrible day in September.

Ohhhhhhhhhhhh you lucky duck! I am on the Central Coast of Kalifornia..would LOVE to be there too..so give him a big shout out from those who love him from this neck of the woods.
When President Bush was Candidate Bush running for his first term I went to a rally in Fresno. They had vets on the stage and I was I think the only female vet..retired Marine. I had a book for a friend ( who is a Democrat) who loved McC..his book Faith of My Fathers. I took his book for him to see if maybe I could get the autograph..the Secret Service was so nice about that and I got it..and shook hands with him and was up close to the President and shook hands...it was awesome..And Miss Laura has the bluest eyes..oh my..she wore a teal colored dress that night..it was such a highlight. I get excited just thinking about that great event..I have my Bush yard posters and pompoms too..
He is just a down right good man, a man of such faith and love for this country and willing to sacrifice himself for this nation. Someone else’s name is not worthy to be in this same article to be compared with this fine man..so we won't say it.
God go with you, Mr President.

I am so green with envy that you'll have an opportunity to welcome him home. I pray he gets the reception he richly deserves and earned.

I know there will be many who wish him good riddance believing he was the worse President ever. Sad that these same people have forgotten how grateful they were that he, not Gore, was in command on Sept. 11th.

I will always be indebted to you, Mr. President, for not letting polls and focus groups dictate how you lead us during these very trying times. History will serve you well.

Reflecting the same thoughts, and emotion as many here... As much as I differed with him on amnesty, and other actions, I still thank him for his actions on the war and protecting America.

We will all miss his steady hand on the latter of that comment.

Lucky. I hope the man lives a long life because history will look upon him very well and I want him to live long enough to see that.
