The three network morning shows on Friday almost totally skipped any coverage of President Bush's farewell address to the country on Thursday. Despite having a combined eight hours of air time, NBC's "Today," CBS's "Early Show" and ABC's "Good Morning America" devoted only 55 seconds total to reporting on Bush's speech. Instead, important topics such as "Obama thongs" and cheddar biscuits were highlighted.
Over a period of two hours, "The Early Show" ignored the speech entirely. "Good Morning America," which has a similar running time, allowed a mere 17 seconds. The "Today" show, which now encompasses four hours of broadcast time, provided the most, with 38 seconds of information about the address. (In contrast, on March 19, 2008, the day after then-presidential candidate Barack Obama's speech on race, these same shows allowed nine and a half minutes of sound bites of the Democrat.)

America is like an addict. We’ll have to hit rock bottom before we decide to change.
I wonder how long the MSM can keep up the 24/7 Obamathon?
OHHHHH! those are the flip flops he sports.
I get it.
Was the loss because of RINOs or the mass hypnosis by MSM, pop culture, the word “change” popping up all over the place?
Reagan didn’t have any friends in networks and talk radio wasn’t anything like it was later.
It’s doable, tough as hell but doable.
I think the lesson hopefully may sink in.
Do not try to be the media’s friend like McCain did.
Eff ‘em! They are the enemy and you fight them as much as you fight democrats.
Mainstream media = mainstream pukes!
pretty sad comentary on what they think
That’s all right.
Lincoln’s Gettysburg Address was derided as unworthy by the press.
Most of the audience couldn’t hear him.
Which makes me wonder why we spent time on the Gettysburg Address in American Lit.
Actually, I heard 0bama has two left feet and wears flip-flips.
NBC is junk propaganda.
“America is like an addict. Well have to hit rock bottom before we decide to change.”
The cycle seems to be a repeating one.
But more and more liberalism gets entrenched each time.
Sadly there will be many “teaching moments” in the years to come.
You would think the MSM would want to steer clear of references to thongs with their new lib/dem prez.
There. fixed it.
Considering the media and Democrat-run Congress are two of the least-trusted institutions in America, a conservative can make a lot of hay by not sucking up to them... and being very public about it.
Sounds a lot like Saracuda to me...
The RNC, GOP, Conservative groups, etc should simply use the media against the media. Start running TV commercials from now until the next election that shows what the Democrats are up to.
For example: A TV commercial that simply points out that the Democratic controlled Congress in fiscal 2008 ran up a $455 billion dollar budget deficit and in fiscal 2009 the Democratic controlled Congress with have run up a budget deficit of over $1 trillion dollars.
Presto! Americans get the truth, the Democrats start squealing and that in turn makes the news cycle. Anytime we can get the Democrats squealing it makes the news.
Hold the Democrats accountable to everything they do by broadcasting it via the boob-tube.
A commercial that should have been running since 2003 is one that explained to Americans that the media and Democrats have lied that only the rich got tax cuts and that the entire federal income taxes were lowered and the earn income tax credit was increased and the child credit was increased, and that when the Democrats expire those tax cuts the low income and middle income will feel it the hardest.
We have to quit allowing the Democrats to get away with their lies. Just a few days ago Barney Franks was on TV saying that they tried to regulate Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac but the Republicans stopped them. Aaarrrgghh!!!
