But apparently, poverty, crime, taxes, homelessness, and unemployment are of secondary concern to Baltimore State Senator Lisa Gladden, a democrat, who showed up at the opening of the General Assembly session sporting a flashy Obama watch.
But it wasnt so much the accouterments she was wearing, it was what she said to a reporter from the local Fox affiliate (Fox 45) that rings of the thoughtless and all too often clueless nature of our elected officials.
Gladden, in a video interview you can see here, told the intrepid political reporter, It doesnt matter if the state of Maryland is broke as long as Barack Obama is going to be President of the United States this is great!

Apparently, she thinks Obama will bail her out.
But I have to agree with her on one thing: I don’t care if they are broke either.

It’s a darn shame. I used to live within a golf shot of the city line and sat near Wild Bill Hagy for one heckuva lot of Oriole games.
A slice of pizza was only ten cents more than 7-11 until EBW bought the team and raised prices thru the roof.

Will enough people notice or care? Probably not.

Wow, this is pretty much equivalent to the gal who said with Obama in office she could fill her gas tank and pay her mortgage again.
I was thinking about possibly going into the neuron-rental business, but I’m starting to think the demand would be too low to form a viable business.

I’ve been to Baltimore once, about six months ago. Made the mistake of walking from my hotel about a block to a Barnes & Noble that evening. Approached by two “gentlemen” who wanted money to help them “get on their feet” because they just got out of central booking. Told them I had none and they suggested I use plastic to buy something and give it to them so they could sell it. WAY uncomfortable situation, but I looked ‘em in the eye and said, “Don’t think so. Good luck to you, guys.”

We already understand that the MENTALLY CHALLENGED are incapable of understanding, reasoning and learning, except to a very minimal level. This means they are easily impressed and easily led by those with charisma, good verbal skills, and lofty, idealistic promises.
It is coping with the fact that these mental midgets are elected into positions of government power, by the mentally challenged in their voting districts, that creates disbelief & frustration on a daily basis.

Got millions of that very same generation here too, exceptionally glittering education on their CV's, but can't open a can of peas.
Get a bunch of these Socialists together in a Government Department for a meeting, they're all legends to each other ..... but unfortunately for the general Public, it's only in their own minds!
Their time will come, when there's no money left to pay for millions of non-productive, made up Government jobs in made up Government Departments, see how far their Socialist talking skills get them then.
The Polish Immigrants have done it here in the UK, Plumbers, Builders, Joiners and many other skilled tradespeople have been here for the past decade earning a fortune because of skills shortages.
When Socialism cannot keep the perpetual funding scheme alive, that's when it fails, and at that point, people will need to rely on their life skills, not the 'made up jibberish garbage speak trade' of socialist Governments.

Maryland state senator says she doesnt care that her state is broke, Obama is going to be president
Wow! This lady must've read and believed my post from yesterday on another thread:
Yeah, well... who needs prosperity when you can have a "feel good" president?
I won't worry about paying my mortgage, and I won't worry about buying food, and I won't worry about paying for my car or for buying gasoline, and I won't worry about feeding my children or making sure they are educated. All I need is to feel good and all my worries will be gone. This is a great new age we live in and it's a welcome "change" and there's a lot of "hope" in the air, and it all makes me "feel good". Good-bye prosperity! Who needs you when it's a lot more important to feel good. Starting January 20th, I'm going to feel even better.

You got that one very right.
She obviously doesn't feel the pain of others when she's already got a job with benefits and is very likely paying for her mortgage and doesn't have to worry about when she's going to get a next paycheck. People like her are the only ones that need to be unemployed for a very long time so she can learn some very big lessons. With her hero, Obama, at the helm, she may soon be a victim of her own stupidity.

This lady is brain dead and shouldn’t be anywhere near any political office. Another Maxine Waters or Cynthia McKinney but on a local scale. Not surprising at all really. One thing that came to my mind when the guy was saying how much hope Obama brings, is when Republicans of talk radio or politicians say “I wish Obama much success.” Success at what? Is he going to suddenly go right. I don’t want the man to be successful at all with his leftist agenda. I hope he and the retreads from Pres42 crash like a lead balloon.
