NYT Maureen Dowd calls Obama "usurper"--nteresting word choice, eh?

[excerpt on of Hillary as Secretary of State]
>>She will easily intimidate the worlds dictators, just as she often intimidated Obama in the primaries. But it remains to be seen whether she can put aside her tendency to see disagreement as disloyalty. Can she work at the State Department with those who deserted her to support the usurper Obama? Can she manage Foggy Bottom better than she managed her foggy campaign?>>

It’s a perfect word.
She was virtually guaranteed the nomination of the party.
He took it from her. ‘Wrongfully’.

I realize the context usage of the word, but I also recognize the irony of such a word when an actual usurping of the presidency is underway.
Sometimes the subconscious telegraphs the truth.

Cleaning out the Augean stables was nothing compared to this task, with Obama trying to bend Hillary and Bill to his will, while they try to bend him to theirs. She is portraying this as a bi-partisan struggle. BS, Obama is in charge and she seems to regret it.

If I was not afraid that these 2 were going to destroy the Republic in the process, I would watch this fight with glee.
Sadly, they are going to destroy the United States to build themselves.

“He took it from her. Wrongfully.”
As SOS, Hillary serves “at the pleasure of the President”. Me thinks that she will have a short tenure at Foggy Bottom. BHO will simply tell her he disagrees with her handling of a situation and he will relieve her of duty. This will be his way of removing Bill and Hill from the stage. Game over.

Hillary certainly views Obama as usurper to the throne she arrogantly felt she had every right to succeed to as heir apparent. Dowd is right that those who abandoned her in favor of The One had better grow eyes in the back of their heads. So had The One.

So exactly why do we read her?
Really?

She looks like an expensive hooker in that pic.
Well...she did finagle her way into marriage with a very wealthy Hollywood "son-of-the-father" idiot; works for me.

Yes, I think you have it right. I was puzzled by the “usurper”, but what you say makes sense. One wonders how many other demrats feel the same way. If the RINO led GOP was a true opposition party it would be exploiting this potential crack in the left’s facade.

FTA: “Can she manage Foggy Bottom better than she managed her foggy campaign?”
Well, in her attempt to be glib (use of foggy), MoDo has hit upon a severe problem that the PIPS has. It is this: the Department of State is a huge, global organization and Hillary is a sh!tty leader with no demonstrable management skills. Mark my words, she is gonna f&ck this up big time.

Yeah, I’ll agree that MoDo is an attractive redhead, and not bad for fifty plus (I’m sixty so lots of middleaged women look suddenly younger).
But it’s not her looks, it’s her bitter attitude that makes MoDo butt ugly.
Like, do you really want to wake up next to this woman?
Only you won’t wake up, you’ll be blasted awake by that shrill bitterness. And, full disclosure, I’d rather take Catherine Zeta-Jones any day.
Whether she’d take me, well, that’s the conundrum.
