It's Bruce Springsteen in utterly candid mode, discussing how Bush ruined America, and how he coped with recent tragedies of his own. But with a new president, the singer has a fresh optimism - hell, he even loves his local supermarket now

The “Boss” (in his own mind) has played the same music with different words for the past 30 years. Listen to the music of “Born in the USA” to “Glory Days”. See what I mean? The words of his songs have become more garbled over the years. That’s what happens to a drug-addled brain.

I can agree Bruce is overrated, but I did like some of his stuff. Blinded By The Light, Fire, and a few others.

He's just another jackass mouthing off like he thinks he knows something!

"That dynamic in my life has been a big part of staying alive. Staying present. Not f***ing it up too bad at any given time. But it's a day-to-day experience. There's always tomorrow and, hopefully, you can use the word 'hopefully' now. You can live here, and use the word 'hopefully'. So that's pretty nice."

Please tell me what this guy is talking about.

He’s a perfect example of a mind destroyed by substance abuse.

It will be fun to watch the faithful sheep eat their own who stumble onto the truth that Obama’s making things worse.

I hadn't been in one in a while - and I thought his place is spectacular.

Well, it's like this Bruce. When you have to buy the groceries yourself, you would rather not do it in dump. Wish I could afford your maids, cooks and butlers.

"Bruce boy wouldn’t make a pimple on an elephants butt."

Recently I watched A Black and White Night on PBS ? and Springsteen couldn't carry Roy Orbison or James Burton's guitars. I really don't know much about elephants.

Is there a more over rated aging singer in America?

None of his songs have a catchy melody, or are well written or memorable. His histrionics on stage have always been boring and predictable. He's just another Peter Frampton-type product of the banal mid 70's rock scene. All hype and no substance. A flaming mediocrity, as it were.

The supreme irony is lost on this moron. He claims to be for the "little people" and sings about them but hasn't been in a grocery store for years.

He's such a useful idiot that he doesn't even know how idiotic his word are.

He just ought to shut up, enjoy his millions and be glad most folks can't put 2 and 2 together. I 'll never get the millionaire rockstar/actor/model types who are happy as clams to use the free market to peddle their mediocre crap. Then, when they have collected all the money from the proles, tell them they've got it to good and ought to vote for higher taxes and less freedom.

On my way to work every day I pass a string of budget motels. The ones that have the nightly price up in lights. One day last summer I saw the show rigs and buses for Jimmy Buffett's roadies and crew parked in one of the lots. I had to laugh. Pretty sure Buffett who is a notorious shill for socialism was kickin' it at The Four Seasons.
