“I would often drive to the next town over about 40 mins. away just to get a large pepperoni.”

I’d believe we have tried them all (chain). We decided years ago to make our own.

There is a place in West Long Beach, Calif. called “Santa Fe Importers” that we are certain to pick up a couple of their Pizzas when we are in town. It’s 70 miles from here, so we make a lot of pizza ourselves.

Oh, you can get the regular pepperoni/mushroom/pepper style pizza at Giordano’s too, but I don’t like pizza. So that “abomination” suits me perfectly. ;-)

At least they're not complete blasphemers.

Too bad Dingy Harry doesn't like pizza, he could head up Wisconsin Avenue to Armand's Chicago Pizzeria and not only get a great pie, but feel right at home since it is from 'Chicago', like his new boss.

"It’s everywhere and is responsible for the obesity epidemic."

People's inability to push back from the table and refusal to move any more than to get from the couch to the fridge is more responsible than high fructose corn syrup.

Dingy Harry is indeed a small, vile, classless smelly little waste of skin...

"We decided years ago to make our own."

Really surprised me that this thread went 41 posts before someone mentioning homemade pizza. I got a bread machine a year or so ago and began using the dough cycle to make pizza dough. We haven't bought a pizza since. Chopping and slicing all of the toppings is a pain, but well worth it once you sink your teeth into the result.

Regardless, Muldoon said, “We would love to become his favorite pizza. The next time, if he wants, the pizza is on us.”

No... it is eating 14 twinkies and 27 moon pies and 12 ding dongs and a myriad of Little Debby cakes... 6 to a Cokes and excess in everything containing fat that is responsible... actually it is the will power if individuals engorging themselves on delicious delights that is the root cause.

The pizza I remember the most was from some little place right off the beach in Santa Maria, CA.

I was in Missile IQT at Vandenberg AFB back in 1984 and 1985 and some of my classmates and I would drive down to SM and order pizza and beer.

They had a giant 22 inch pizza called the UFO and we would order a couple of them and drink beer and eat pizza.

The UFO was not that great but those good times and great friendships made it some of the best I have ever had.

“I don’t like pizza...”

And he claims to be an American.

Reid never has been the sharpest crayon in the box, but he seems to be getting worse. Sooner or later, someone will mount a challenge to his leadership. He may have trouble getting reelected in 2010.

From what I can tell, the guys in New Haven might have it figured out, too. Just based on Jeff’s reviews, I haven’t done the full tour.

When I left the Air Force for two years to finish my degree I bought my parents old house from them. It was about eight miles from campus.

My wife was still in and stationed 190 miles away and would come down to see me during the weekends. We would have a bunch of the vacuum cleaners..er... I mean ROTC students over and would make homemade pizzas using a bunch of the Pillsbury dough canisters.

They were quite good and really inexpensive so we could make five or six pizzas for the price of one takeout and fill up the stomachs of some starving students and watch old John Wayne movies on cable.

While overeating is a major part of the problem, although it has the same number of calories, fructose stimulates more insulin release than glucose. More insulin=more hunger=more double whoppers with cheese=more obesity.

Well, that and playing x-box for hours on end.

What a stupid thing for a politician to do. It shows the lack of diplomacy and class. I can’t believe the bunch of nitwits we have leading this country.

Harry Reid is a typical, basically unhappy Democrat in addition to being a sour, classless, and dour old codger. His behavior is an embarrassment to all of us; Democrats excepted.

New Haven is one of the suburbs I was talking about.

I live on Long Island and if I was able to eat pizza anymore, there are a few places around here that make some dynamite pies, both Napolitano and sicilian. and there is one place in Smithtown, that use to make the best friggin’ Calzone on the planet, though the original owner passed on and I dont know if they are making it the same way.

unfortunately my body says NO to most tasty foods and I am must eat my mush like ‘Wheezer’.

That’s the whole point of my statement. Fructose makes you hungrier, therefore you eat more.
