This is straight out of the Obama camp talking points. Poor, poor Geithner. Let's move on. We need him too much anyway. Never mind they don't give all the details about how he was paid money for withholding, signed a form agreeing to pay that for his taxes, and then pocketed it. And didn't go back and fix 2001-2002 until vetted by the Obama campaign.

So the flying monkeys instead bash on Hillary, who is not about to be shot down by the Senate since she's from that august group. All to keep up appearances of objectivity.

Reformers are regulating the wrong end of the quid and the quo. There's another way to get at this problem: Promise to reject automatically for any job, contract or a favor any donor/businessman who gives money. You end pay to play by saying that if you pay, you cant play.

Thus, though she'd never admit it, Margaret agrees with John McCain: it's not the politician who accepts the bribe who is guilty, it's the special interest (not necessarily a "businessman") who offers the bribe.

Has it occurred to her that the bribery of politicians only occurs because politicians and their legislation has an undue influence on markets and behaviors?

The more that is removed from political influence, the less temptation there is to purchase favors. A smaller government would be a more honest government!

It should be obvious by now why politicians prefer large government.

My theory has been that Bambi nominated Hillary as S of S in order to get rid of her.....so actually, I predicted she’ll get the spot, but Bambi will find errors (some of which are being discussed now?) in something she does soon after....and ask/demand her resignation....and voila....she’s no longer a Senator....and she’s no longer S of S.....she’s GONE (for awhile)...That’s my theory and I’m sticking to it....FWIW

I thought that, too. Wishful thinking, perhaps...

Yes, probably a deflection attempt to save the Treas. nominee.

serious questions about EVERY SINGLE OBAMA NOMINEE.
Holder, Geitner, Browner, Clinton, Rahm E., they are all corrupt, too far left or both and should be canned.

But they wont be.

... yeah like when we get in our next foreign policy crisis and Obama screws it up bigtime, he can blame Hillary.

Yup. Always an out.

Excellent point.

It’s one of those “Keep your friends close - and your enemies closer” kind of things.
