Without even listening, I know what he will say.

Impending doom, great depression, possible societal collapse, etc etc etc

I listened to it, guess I'm a gloom and doomer, figured 35 or so years ago everything would implode at some point, wouldn't have guessed when. Maybe we'll pull out of it. Hope it doesn't get THAT bad. Young people for the most part have NO survival skills, and with the drugs and decline in morality, stealing (and worse) would be a way of life, already is.

Well, it was an 11 mb file and am fighting for space, so I hope it's gone from the temp file. I searched for all *.mp3 files and didn't come up with any dl'ed today.

None of this had to happen, of course.

Synopsis - written as I was listening to it:
Yup - last year he called the Panic of 2008.

This year he is calling the Collapse of 2009, due to the collapse of the commercial real estate market, such as in retail stores and financial office space.

Sales down, unemployment up, government tax revenues down, ...

Riots, tax revolts, detention camps, ...

Celente quotes John Connally, near the end of his life (he died in 1993) saying that if the American people really knew what was going on, there would be a revolution in this country.

Celente predicts the collapse beings in late February or early March of 2009. He's predicting this will be the Greatest Depression.

He claims to be a "political atheist" and then predicts that Bush will go down as the worst President in American history.

His take on medicine I agree with more; we will go away from Big Drug back to taking responsibility for our own health by more natural means. He's speaking from New York (he lives in Kingston), though areas of California, Nevada and Florida aren't likely in any better shape. California will stop sending welfare checks to blind and disabled residents in two weeks ... they are out of cash. Detroit is further down the decline.

He predicts a revival of really good entertainment, and smaller, quality, distinctive businesses, rather than Big Junk, like the two big stocks that did best in 2008, Walmart and McDonalds. It will be a revival of local businesses and communities and Yankee frugality, back to what made this country great.

Government is squeezing us, and we will take to the streets in protest. Only government really gained employment last year.

Celente, besides seeing nothing to stop the Collapse of 2009 and the Greatest Depression, also fears global unrest. If the middle east war spreads, he fears most the beginnings of World War III.

He was pretty harsh on Obama too.

That's some very bad news from Gerald.

As I told my neighbors, people aren't rushing out to buy guns because they think Obama will suspend gun sales...they're buying guns because they're sensing some of the things Celente talks about. They will be needed for defense in the near future.
