He allowed all sorts of stupid myths to persist until they became 'common wisdom' and urban legends.
He never opened up a national news service - a Pravda - if that's what you mean. (Obama will, if he needs to, but he already has the press fawning all over him, and NPR and PBS totally in the tank to carry his water).
He socialized the banking system to a degree never before seen in this country.

He did not make an effort to connect with the people.
With a disdainful (to say the least) press, his amiable side was rarely revealed. I still blame the press.
I do not underestimate the effect of the democrat controlled press or the ineptitude of McCain, yet Bush bears most of the responsibility for allowing the dems to go unchecked.
And McCain, you may agree, would probably have been twice the "disaster" you figure Bush to have been. As for Bush, it seems to me he was credited with outsmarting the Democrats in Congress over several recent issues. Maybe that's not saying much, considering the caliber of the Congressional leadership.

He was the President of the United States. All he had to do was address the nation on a regular basis. Go over the heads of the congress critters and talking heads. He did not do that.
Reagan had a hostile press, but he spoke to the people and they understood him.
He expanded government and spent like a drunk, i.e., like a democrat.
Granted, McCain would have been a bigger disaster than Bush, but not nearly the disaster 0bama will be.
Over the past 20 years, NEITHER party has been overly concerned with what is best for the average citizen. They both have been jostling for permanent power. The GOP just lost. They were the lesser evil.

I’m not a cult follower. Read some of the comments posted on the M1A site. Folks can say thanks and disagree with the man at the same time.
You misrepresented what the site is about, but are not man or woman enough to own up to that.
I was not misrepresenting what the site represents, I was replying to anothers post concerning the site, the person who posted the thread. He posted that they were taking out ANY posts that weren’t praising hier Bush.
So go back and read what I was replying to before you get your undies in a knot.
