Anyone who fails to pay their taxes in a timely fashion should now demand same preferential treatment as he received.
He's a tax cheat AND uses illegal help but they want to give him a pass. So that sounds about right.
I think there is a certain expectation by people who are that high on the food chain (regardless of party) who really DO believe:
-they are above the law
-only little people pay taxes
If I found out today that EVERY member of Congress pays less than minimum wage to their domestic help and also pays less income tax than I do (I am upper middle class), I would be OUTRAGED but not at all surprised.
Try getting a job at any bank with a poor credit history, or tax liens on your record.
What will be revealing is which Republicans vote to confirm his nomination.
This should be a “litmus test” vote for Republican Senators.
I did a little editing on the signature line and fill-in section on lines 57-60.
Carrol Quigley - the bankers’ plan
“The Power of financial capitalism had [a] far reaching plan, nothing less than to create a world system of financial control in private hands able to dominate the political system of each country and the economy of the world as a whole.
This system was to be controlled in a feudalistic fashion by the central banks of the world acting in concert, by secret agreements arrived at in frequent meetings and conferences.
The apex of the system was to be the **Bank for International Settlements in Basel, Switzerland**, a private bank owned and controlled by the world’s central banks, which were themselves private corporations.
Each central bank sought to dominate its government by its ability to control treasury loans, to manipulate foreign exchanges, to influence the level of economic activity in the country, and to influence co-operative politicians by subsequent rewards in the business world.”
Carrol Quigley, Tragedy and Hope, 1966 - [Bill Clinton’s mentor and Georgetown University professor]
Mr. Geithner serves as chairman of the G-10âs Committee on Payment and Settlement Systems of the Bank for International Settlements. He is a member of the Council on Foreign Relations and the Group of Thirty.

Zoe Baird (Clinton, 1993), Kimba Wood (Clinton, 1993), and Linda Chavez (Bush, 2001) all had relatively minor or potential issues with self-employment taxes on household help. Geithners unpaid amounts were exponentially larger. Is there a whiff of male chauvinism in the air?
Could be.
