Maj just got the word, on Shep Smith show, scheduled to be announced tomorrow. All combat brigades to be out in 16 months.
Real effect is immediate surrender of purpose. No commander is going to undertake any major mission knowing that, at the very longest, no US offensive military power will be in-country after next Spring, so why waste lives to gain something we soon will give away.
Offensive operations will stop. Brigades will go into a useless, purely defensive mode. It's over. Our POTUS surrendered.
About 3000 Americans volunteered to pay the ultimate price in Iraq so we could be free. Obama just ensured those sacrifices will have no lasting meaning.
Bush prayed for every one of them and their souls. Obama just pissed on every one of their graves.

I do have Obama derangement syndrome. Caught it yesterday watching his divisive speech, his racist preacher’s prayer and his supporters booing President Bush!

Absolute insanity... And, a slap in the face to ALL of our brave troops who have sacrificed thus far. Knowing who Obama’s allies are in the Muslim world (esp. the direct connection through Raila Odinga with the terrorists) this doesn’t surprise me a bit.
This is just one more way to destroy America’s standing in the world by turning our back on the Iraqis we vowed to help. Obama could care less if the terrorists move back in — waiting all the while we clear out.
Obama’s supporters are delusional when it comes to understanding the threats that face us within the world, and Obama is COUNTING on the threats in order to secure more power for himself.
May God bless our brave troops, as well as all the U.S. and foreign nation support troops and civilians. May they know that there are those of us who really do appreciate all they’ve sacrificed for us thus far in the Middle East. May God bless the Iraqis as well - please remember no matter what propaganda you hear there is about half of this nation - if not more that do NOT agree with this President’s decisions...

We are going to lose in Afghanistan also. Anyway, a far more dangerous, and nearby, danger is the situation in Mexico. The whole coutry is on the verge of becoming a failed state.
For an example of what God does to nations that enjoy His blessings only to turn their collective backs on them, I recommend the ping-pong-like example demonstrated by the Jews in the Penteteuch, Judges, Samuel I & II, Kings I & II, and Chronicles I & II. The apocryphal histories of the revolt of the Macabees, coupled with the falling away and legalism of the saducees and pharisees in the intertestamentary period and in the New Testament also provide great examples.
And it's not just the Jews -- it's all of us. If you're asking what God is doing, you have to admit the possibility that President Zero and his Merry Band in Congress are God's punishment on our nation for collectively ignoring and denigrating him at every opportunity in our modern culture.

God is in control and He has a plan, but not everything that happens on this planet is His perfect will, and there are times when He has not prevented awful things from taking place. I was just hoping we could avoid all that, but apparently not. I certainly don’t see why He would allow a pro-abortion president to take office so more of His babies will be killed. The logic escapes my simple human brain.
The real result is surrender to Iran. Elections have consequences so enjoy our first president who is an “I don’t give a damn” leftist.

The one hope I held out for this country was that Obama knows if we are attacked after his policies are in effect, it will be all on his shoulders. No blaming Bush.
