President Obamas inaugural address is behind us, with reviews ranging from tepid to enthusiastic. But excepting the frothy TV coverage, most found the moment outweighed and overwhelmed the speech. One is reminded of the last scene in the brilliant film The Candidate, in which the idealistic Robert Redford, having won the election, turns to his advisers and says, What do we do now?
Well, thats the question, or rather the series of questions, which will face the new president. Most havent been answered in two years of campaigning or an active transition period. On the immediate horizon are five major policy decisions which will, to a large extent, decide the contours of President Obamas first year and whether his first term is successful.
The first question: Does he really want to hang the countrys economic recovery on the House Democrats stimulus package?...

Socialist since his senate voting record was to the left of Bernie Sanders.
The more centrist he is the better for the country and the more pissed off the left will be.
He is a friggin Marxist.
Amazing, isn't it, that even here, so many don't get it.
Must-see video of Obama campaigning for Socialist Bernie Sanders in 2006. Says we need people like Bernie to "shake things up in Washington".

I’d say radical Marxist with a foreign, probably Muslim, agenda. Fergit liberals. They’re just Bill Ayers’ dumb little tools.
I’d say radical Marxist with a foreign, probably Muslim, agenda. Fergit liberals. They’re just Bill Ayers’ dumb little tools.
Yes it is! People just refuse to open their eyes, he hasn't tried to keep it a secret.
Some of my Obama pals were sure he would be a pragmatist rather than the marxist I insist he is. Of course, its possible for us to both be right.
I’m looking to see what he does about the economy. It would be pretty tough to top Bush’s trillion-dollar blank check to the bankers, but I’m waiting to see if Obama tries to top it.
I’m waiting to see what he does about the border. I’m assuming he will do what he can to simply open the border and legalize the illegals and establish a two-tier labor system using work-visas. Something like Bush and McCain wanted to do.
I’m expecting he will put a gun to Israel’s head and force them to open their borders to Hamas. It will be presented as “peace in the middle east”. He’ll get a Nobel Prize for it.
I’m expecting he will normalize relations with Cuba; he’ll want to do it quickly so that Fidel lives to see it. He’ll propose that Guantanamo become a joint US/Cuban base. Or simply be returned to the Cuban people. That will be his second Nobel.
He’ll try to normalize relations with Iran. In the interest of peace. It remains to be seen if Iran will play along. Sometime during his four year term of office a nuke is going to go off somewhere. When he doesn’t retaliate he and Ahmadinejad will share another Nobel.
At some point he’ll conclude that Bin Ladin is dead, and he’ll negotiate the return of the Taliban to Kabul.
And I’m expecting he will help the Dems push through a Fairness law to get Limbaugh off the air, and some anti-hate laws to control what preachers can say from the pulpit. The hate laws will only apply to normal preachers; the Reverend Wright and Reverend Lowry variety won’t be affected. Preachers can already be prosecuted in Canada and Europe; I don’t believe we’re that far behind.
Gay marriage is coming within weeks if not days. The military will soon be paying benefits to same-sex spouses. And this is also coming probably within weeks.
Most people here know about Bill Ayers and Frank Marshall Davis being communists, but only a handful it seems know that Reverend Wright's Black Liberation Theology is also Marxist (Obama spent TWENTY years in Wright's "church"). And not just Marxist but it advocates the communist overthrow of the white capitalist class. BLT came out of Liberation Theology from Central America. For anyone who wants to know more about it, check out this linked piece I posted yesterday. Also my FR About page. I think if people here were given a quiz on it (BLT), most would score under 25%. And that's here, on FR! Could you imagine what it's like outside of here?
The TRUE story of Rev Wright's Black Liberation Theology (Weather Underground advocated BL also):

Centrist or liberal?
Give me a freaking break! Try this:
Socialist or Communist?
Frank Marshall Davis
William Ayers
Rev. Jeremiah Wright
...as you identified. Plus...
Fr. Michael Pfleger, another Marxist liberation theologist
Shepard Fairey, his graphics designer
Howard Hallman, a disciple of Saul Alinsky who hired Obama as a "community organizer"
Michael Klonsky, one of Ayers' fellow Weather Underground members, also prominent in the Chicago educational establishment, whose programs received virtually all of the Annenberg Foundation funds Obama was responsible for distributing.
Rashid al-Khalid, a radical Palestinian professor at the Univ of Chicago, said to be Obama's closest friend.
Bernadine Dohrn, Ayers' wife, who worked with Michelle at Sidley & Austin a year before Michelle and Barack met -- perhaps the link to Ayers himself.
Khalid al-Mansour, a former Black Panther, now the USA representative of a wealthy Saudi businessman, who has told people he was responsible for raising the money to pay Obama's expenses at Harvard
Last, but not least, his wife and his mother -- Michelle and Stanley Ann Dunham. We know how Michelle feels about the USA. And his mother was already a committed radical when she met Obama, Sr.
Not to mention organizations like ACORN and The New Party.
Every one of the above listed individuals is either a professed Communist or hard-line Socialist with openly anti-American (and anti-capitalist) views. Both of the organizations consider themselves radical and anti-capitalist (The New Party being openly Marxist and anti-American).
It should come as no surprise to anybody when Obama starts moving the country toward socialism -- and into a foreign policy opposed to its own interests.
But...it will. To most.
ANIMALIST!
That’s easy, he is a liberal talking like a centrist. If you expect anything else you will be disappointed.
Socialist=Communist=Liberal - Three different words but all are the same. The name may change but the result is the same.

[Obama] is named Chairman of the Board of the Chicago Annenberg Challenge founded by Bill Ayers
(article typo has Ayers instead of Obama)
In late 1993, Bill Ayers, now an associate professor of education at the University of Illinois Chicago Circle Campus, organized a team to put together a grant proposal to secure nearly $50 million from the Annenberg Challenge. The money was to be used by Ayers and co. to bolster the radical Local School Councils reform project that Ayers and Obama had championed back in 1988 through the ABCs.
The grant application was successful and in early 1995 Barack Obama was named chairman of the board of the Chicago Annenberg Challenge. Ayers was named co-chair of the Challenges operative and strategic body, the Chicago School Reform Collaborative. Ayers and Obama work together for the next five years on raising an additional $60 million in matching money from local foundations and corporations and using the money to intervene in the governance of the Chicago public schools.
The Challenge through a multi-million dollar Leadership Development Initiative intervened in the School Council elections in the middle of what was known as the Chicago School Wars. At the same time Chicago Mayor Richard Daley was pushing, successfully, to gut the power of the Councils.

Some background on Bill Ayers' SDS comrade, Michael Klonsky
(Chicago Annenberg Challenge-related)
"One of Bill Ayers and Bernardine Dohrns comrades in the late 60s Students for a Democratic Society was Mike Klonsky. When Dohrn and Ayers moved in one direction toward the violent tactics of the Weather Underground, Klonsky, in the wake of the Soviet invasion of Czechoslovakia, dropped the pro-Russian communist politics of his parents and became a committed Maoist. As leader of the Communist Party (Marxist-Leninist) in 1977 [not to be confused with Communist Party USA. CPML no longer exists, CPUSA formed decades earlier and is still around-ETL], he travelled to Beijing and was toasted by the senior Beijing leadership.
When the crazy left of the 70s died in the 80s, Klonsky went to graduate school in education in Florida and then moved to Chicago.
While driving a cab there he [Michael Klonsky] was recruited by his old friend Bill Ayers to head up a new project called the Small Schools Workshop in 1991. Its offices were in the Department of Education building at the University of Illinois Chicago Circle Campus where Ayers taught.
In 1995 the newly formed Chicago Annenberg Challenge headed by Ayers and Obama gave the Workshop a grant of $175,000.
The Annenberg Challenge also had its office space in the same building as Ayers Department and the Workshop, rent free courtesy of the University.
In 2008 Klonsky ran a blog on the official Obama campaign website on education policy and social justice teaching. When discussion of the Klonsky blog emerged in the blogosphere, it was promptly shut down by the campaign and all of the posts made by Klonsky were removed from the site."

In 1977, the October League was reorganized as the Communist Party (Marxist-Leninist) [again, not Communist Party USA (CPUSA) -ETL] and former SDS activist Michael Klonsky became party chairman. Also in 1977, Klonsky traveled to China and the CPML was recognized by the Chinese Communist Party as its official sister party in America.
(snip)
In January 1981, Michael Klonsky resigned as party chairman, and the CPML disbanded that same year.
The previous Red Encyclopedia description of the CPML was incorrectly combined with that of the Communist Party USA (Marxist-Leninist).

From Investor's Business Daily (IBD), August 27, 2008:
"Ayers, now a tenured distinguished professor of education at UIC, works to educate teachers in socialist revolutionary ideology, urging that it be passed on to impressionable students.
One of Ayer's descriptions for a course called 'Improving Learning Environments' says prospective K-12 teachers need to 'be aware of the social and moral universe we inhabit and ... be a teacher capable of hope and struggle, outrage and action, teaching for social justice and liberation.
The Annenberg papers are quite extensive 132 boxes containing 947 file folders with 70 linear feet of material. They undoubtedly contain more surprises regarding Obama's relationship with Ayers, one of many relationships Obama has sought to hide.'..."

Interview with Bill Ayers:
"On Progressive Education, Critical Thinking and the Cowardice of Some in Dangerous Times"
http://rwor.org/a/063/ayers-en.html
Anybody who had time to follow the news today knows that your comment is absolutely on the mark. He has surrendered to the terrorist and, according to Robert Reich who controls infrastructure spending, will ensure that "stimulus money will not go to people who don't need it, such as white construction workers."
0 controls all branches of government and has a blank check to implement the wildest dreams the far left has been having for years.
A coincidence? I doubt it.
I wonder how many other graduates of SDS and Wunderground ended up in education. I wonder just how much influence they've had in the redirection of public education over the past thirty-or-so years.
It would be an interesting research project to undertake. A Radical's Where-Are-They-Now...???

Clinton pardons a terrorist, and now she's teaching in Clinton, N.Y.
BY ROGER KIMBALL
Friday, December 3, 2004
At Hamilton College--an elite liberal arts institution in Clinton, N.Y.--you can take courses in Roman civilization, Shakespeare and the "Emergence of Modern Western Europe, 1500-1815." All well and good. You can also take something called "Resistance Memoirs: Writing, Identity and Change." That last course--a month-long, half-credit seminar--is scheduled to begin next month. Its teacher is Susan Rosenberg, formerly of the Weather Underground.
Remember the Weather Underground? Its self-described revolutionaries, mostly middle-class, dedicated themselves to supporting radical black causes and tearing apart American society in the 1970s and early 1980s. In 1970, they blew up a townhouse when a bomb detonated prematurely and killed a few of their troops. Kathy Boudin, Bill Ayers, Bernardine Dohrn and other high-profile members of the group spent the next decade or so running from the police and, some of them, continuing to pursue careers in criminal violence.
Ms. Rosenberg did her part. In October 1981, in an operation code-named "The Big Dance," several black radicals and members of the Weather Underground held up a Brinks armored car in Nanuet, N.Y. In the course of that act of domestic terrorism, they murdered Peter Paige, a Brinks guard, and police officers Edward O'Grady and Waverly Brown, the only black officer on the Nyack, N.Y., force. Ms. Rosenberg, then still at large, was indicted as an accessory.
According to John Castellucci's "The Big Dance," an account of the Brinks robbery, Ms. Rosenberg's role in the Brinks job was performing surveillance, driving a getaway car and transmitting orders. "Any white who had taken part in the robbery," Mr. Castellucci writes, "would have received orders from her."
Mr. Castellucci reports that the Brinks robbery was only one of several violent episodes that Ms. Rosenberg was involved with in the late 1970s and early 1980s. She was finally apprehended in November 1984 while unloading a cache of weapons--including 740 pounds of explosives--at a storage facility in Cherry Hill, N.J. ..."

PROFILE: WADE RATHKE
Wade Rathke founded the Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now (ACORN), for which he served as Chief Organizer from 1970 to 2008. He is also the co-founder and Chairman of the Tides Center; a Board member of the Tides Foundation; an Executive Board member of the Service Employees International Union (SEIU); and Chairman of the AFL-CIOs Organizers Forum. Rathke describes himself as someone who is dedicated to winning social justice, workers' rights, and a democracy where the people shall rule; i.e., socialism.
Rathke hails from a family of prosperous orange ranchers in Orange County, California. During the late 1960s he attended Williams College in Massachusetts but dropped out before graduating. He thereafter became a draft-resistance organizer for the Students for a Democratic Society (SDS), and an organizer for George Wileys National Welfare Reform Organization (NWRO). (For details on NWRO, see the separate entries for George Wiley and the Cloward-Piven Strategy.)
In 1970, Wiley sent Rathke to Little Rock, Arkansas to begin organizing NWRO chapters in the South. By that time, Wiley -- who was African American -- was coming under attack by black militants who opposed his policy of placing whites such as Rathke in NWRO leadership positions.
Rathke, perhaps sensing that he might soon be demoted or released entirely, in 1970 formed a new organization called Arkansas Community Organizations for Reform Now (ACORN). He enlisted civil rights workers and trained them in a program (at Syracuse University) patterned after Saul Alinskys activist tactics.
The groups name was later changed to Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now, but the acronym ACORN remained the same. ..."
