Your belief is wrong. Unless of course you also believe that before the oath was administered again, correctly, later that day, Chief Justice Roberts resolved the issue of his citizenship.

Bush ceased to be President at noon on Tuesday, but Obama didn’t become President ( if he is at all ) until he completed the constitutionaly prescribed oath.
Joe Biden was acting POTUS until then, and probably still is due to the ineligibility ( not a natural born citizen ) of Barack Obama.
If he and the other supremes had questions, WHY IN HELL DIDN’T THEY ORDER HIM TO PRODUCE A VALID BIRTH CERTIFICATE?
Let me ask...Roberts started out to “read” the oaf of office and didn’t 0bama interrupt and start to repeat it before Roberts got to his pause and this was a cause of the screw up?
Someone suggested that Roberts may have slipped up because of guilt over the birth certificate issue. My belief is that Obama stepped on Roberts,and then Roberts then got nervous and made a mistake because he didn’t have the oath printed on a card.
What is ridiculous is that they are nit picking over the wording of the oath yet giving him a free pass on providing conclusive documentation of his eligibility, which he has not done to date and has spent around a million dollars resisting.

Despite the courts failure to stop Obama from taking office without first showing proof of meeting the constitutional requirements, the justices know the information in the case brought before them. Any intelligent and normal person could not erase that knowledge from their minds.
When a real world situation occurred related to the information, in this case saying the word "faithfully" his having guilty or suspicious knowledge cause him to flub the oath.
Curiously, Dr. West died just last February.
So the last remaining legal issues, would be the "dual citizenship" arguments arising from his Kenyan father and his apparent Indonesian adoption.

When Barack Hussein Obama places his hand on the Bible today to take the oath of office as 44th president of the United States, Barbara Nelson of Kenmore will undoubtedly think back to the day he was born. It was Aug. 4, 1961, at Kapi’olani Medical Center for Women & Children in Honolulu.
“I may be the only person left who specifically remembers his birth. His parents are gone, his grandmother is gone, the obstetrician who delivered him is gone,” said Nelson, referring to Dr. Rodney T. West, who died in February at the age of 98. Here’s the story: Nelson was having dinner at the Outrigger Canoe Club on Waikiki Beach with Dr. West, the father of her college friend, Jo-Anne. Making conversation, Nelson turned to Dr. West and said: “‘So, tell me something interesting that happened this week,’” she recalls.
His response: “Well, today, Stanley had a baby. Now that’s something to write home about.”
The new mother was Stanley (later referred to by her middle name of Ann) Dunham, and the baby was Barack Hussein Obama.
“I penned the name on a napkin, and I did write home about it,” said Nelson, knowing that her father, Stanley A. Czurles, director of the Art Education Department at Buffalo State College, would be interested in the “Stanley” connection.
She also remembers Dr. West mentioning that the baby’s father was the first black student at the University of Hawaii and how taken he was by the baby’s name.

In December of l956, after delivering at least 5,OOO babies - and other things, he retired from the practice of medicine. In l963, he served as the President of the Hawaii Medical Association and in l975, he helped found and was the first president of the American College of Physician Executives.
Looks like he was retired when the O-man was born.
