Troubled OneUnited Bank in Boston didnt look much like a candidate for aid from the Treasury Departments bank bailout fund last fall.
The Treasury had said it would give money only to healthy banks. But OneUnited had seen most of its capital evaporate and was under attack for allegations of poor lending practices and executive-pay abuses, including owning a Porsche for its executives use.
Nonetheless, OneUnited got a $12 million injection from the Treasurys Troubled Asset Relief Program in December. The reason: the intercession of Democratic Rep. Barney Frank, head of the House Financial Services Committee.
Frank admits he wrote into the TARP bill a provision specifically aimed at helping this particular home-state bank. He also acknowledges urging regulators to consider OneUnited for a cash injection.

Add to this Robert Reich’s statement recently that no TARP money should go to WHITE Contractors. We now understand how they are going to transfer wealth from white prople to blacks.
And to think GWB set this whole operation in montion.

It’s time for this bum-burgling bone-smoking fat f*** to go! People of Massachusetts have you no shame?
It’s time for this bum-burgling bone-smoking fat f*** to go! People of Massachusetts have you no shame?
And how much of a cash infusion did the bank give back to fudge-packin’ Frank?
Barney Frank is the representitive from a SINGLE district of this messed up state. He DOES NOT represent the entire state. That being cleared up, NO the people of Taxachusetts have NO shame. Sad to say, Barney is only typical.
