On January 23, Joy Behar, who apparently was once a comedian of some kind and now is in politics--sort of like Al Franken--appeared on the Larry King show on CNN. The Gay Patriot caught it and commented, but didn't have access to the transcript. It's up now, here, and it illustrates pretty well what we're up against in the world of entertainment. (I assume someone out there must think Behar is entertaining.)
KING: OK, is this administration going to be hard for the comics to have fun with?
BEHAR: Yes. And all I can say is thank you for Joe Biden, because he is going to always give us some laughs. He'll say something crazy and out there, and it will be fun. And Sarah Palin, you know, we can always rely on her to come back and give us some material. But it is really not easy to make fun of the Obamas, because they're really -- they're kind of really perfect, aren't they?
There you have it: America's comics, those notorious subversives, just can't ridicule our President because he's "really perfect." They're still keeping an eye on Sarah Palin, though, just in case something funny happens in Alaska. More:

BEHAR: Yes, because of the election year. Yes. I think that -- don't you think that comedians were very instrumental this year in helping Obama get elected?
KING: By attacking Bush, you mean?
BEHAR: Yes, I mean Tina Fey, she really put the nail in the old coffin there. And "The View," we had our little interactions, little (INAUDIBLE) with the McCains, although I like John McCain very much, but I didn't want him to be president, so I had to do what I had to do.
Well, thanks for laying it right out there. There's much more that is sickening in the interview, but the most significant point, I think, is that network women's television is on record as being an organ of the Democratic Party. There is no conceivable reason why any Republican or conservative would support this nonsense by watching it.
And how do we make it go away?

In other words, anything was fair game so long as it got Mr. & Mrs. Perfect elected. And yet they can claim they are not biased toward the left. I agree. They show far more than mere bias. They are entirely partisan.

This is the state of “comedy” today...so called “comedy”, chicken-shit, unfunny, pc stooges for the “messiah”. With maybe a couple of exceptions, there is no comedy today. What garbage, this typical unfunny bag of shit hag troll from a bag of shit program called “the view”.
Just grab the handle and flush. But you may have to jiggle it a few times to make sure it all went down.

This just goes to show the lack of professionalism in today’s comics.
Remember the days of Johnny Carson, etc. who made fun of Nixon, Ford, Carter, whoever? They didn’t play favorites and keep quiet just because their guy was in charge.
A true comedian can find something funny in most any situation. That’s why today’s “comedians” really aren’t that. Some things are off limits to them and they only do themselves harm. Who wants to listen to a comic that has nothing funny to say?

Unreal. I never knew she was a teacher. You are so right - better to have her poison the already dumbed-down minds of the folks who watch that kind of drivel or even have the time to watch drivel than corrupt more minds. I’m with you.
If someone wanted to torment me, they’d force me to watch the View. I’d probably give out state secrets for sure.
