As long as the network anchors keep force-feeding the people a steady diet of euphoric anecdotes regarding everything Obama

I don't usually watch TV but I had some hotel downtime this past week and caught part of a documentary related to "Valkyrie" -- a bit worrisome to see some of that era repeating...

LOL! Well, it's gotta be a forgone conclusion that our new "Messiah" has no intention of raising up the GOP! He's very selective in that regard.:-)

And that's putting it mildly.

I don't remember Sarah Palin being overrated. If anything, she was attacked and ridiculed.

“...some Republicans are vocally castigating the conservatives for refusing to support the effort.”

The author makes this assertion, but doesn’t name names to back it up.

The fact was, at the end of the day was the bill passed the House with not a single GOP vote.

Hopefully the GOP Senators will do likewise, laying this initiative solely to become the democrats big deal.

Too bad when the GOP had the majority, they didn’t have the unity and discipline to behave this way.

Agreed.

The Republicans squandered their majority status.

Now they have no shot at survival unless they are completely united in their opposition to the Democrats Socialist plan for America.

If they stand united, they'll gain more seats in 2010.

Good article, but it won’t amount to a hill of beans if their resistance isn’t based on PRINCIPLE. What’s the point if they win again and just continue to govern like liberals?

Seems like an endless repeating cycle, and every time the dems run things, more liberalism gets entrenched and institutionalized.

Seems the republican party only finds religion when it is out of power.

Definitely written by a Republican PR mole. Which is fine, we need more propaganda pieces like this; but they’re gonna have to do a bit more than show one day’s worth of solidarity if they hope to turn things around.

I can think of Inhofe, Pence (who I don’t know much about) and the votes against Holder..

I couldn't agree with you more.

I don't care much for third parties.

They tend to help the left.

If these Republicans aren't whipped in to line hard, the cycle you speak of will continue to repeat itself.

That's the true challenge. Will we stand down when Republicans come back in favor, or will we stay in their face?

I disagree, The GOP destroyed its self through greed and corruption and as soon as the GOPBOTS realize that, the sooner we can get a new party in there to start straightening this REPUBLIC out. The GOP has had it time in the lime light and what did they do? Come on, They had all three houses and did absolutely nothing... they are no better than the Democrats currently in power corrupt frigging weasels who only look out for themselves! The GOP does not own Conservative votes! So, should a lot of you GOPBOTS stop blaming Conservatives for YOUR party's devastating losses and actually battle the GOP elite to take back your party, I MIGHT look at the GOP again... ...Until Then its CONSTITUTION PARTY!

Voting for third parties elects Democrats...I’ll take a Repub over a Dem any day. Most GOP presidential losses going back to Teddy Roosevelt were cause by third party candidates.
