See my post about CP being the party of cowards and thieves. I’m serious.

Typical GOPBOT, you can't defend your party's actions, so you try to attack all others, your statements and attacks are no different than the Dems and Libs attacks on anyone that opposes their agenda!

When will you all stop defending the GOP and their leaders, THEY are the Party and people that just cemented your country's demise!

Please wake up before its to late!

On a side note, I used to be just like you... supported the GOP since my first vote for Reagan, voted for Bush both times, But I can not stand by GOP while they aare helping the Dems to destroy my country... I just won’t do it anymore!

If the GOP pulls its head out and starts acting like conservatives then I’ll be back, but I will no longer support the DemLite party...

“dwebs tried to convince me (and other Republcians) that Bush was more dangerous than Gore or Kerry. I’m just not that stupid.”

BUSH WAS/IS: I voted for him twice (and campaigned for him in OH in 2004); Now I regret this: Bush was the most liberal Republican national figure in MY lifetime!

If Gore or Kerry had won (as aweful as that sounds), we ~might~ have gotten a real Republican as our Nominee in 2008, not Manchurian (liberal) Jr.

It is not uncommon for Democrats to register here, and the first thing they do is try to tell you the GOP is nonredeemable so we need to teach those guys a lesson and vote for xyz independent...Democrats know that this allows them more and easier victories. Thus, I don’t trust you...I suggest to all conservatives you consider the results if we split the vote three ways in any significant numbers...unstoppable Democrat majority.

While Rhino’s are not my favorite species...I fall back on the great Ronald Reagan who noted he would rather have someone who voted with him 70% of the time than against him 100% of the time. I would also note that such questionable posters often say things like ‘bite me’-as they are more used to DU. As for respect, why should I have respect for someone that advocates surrendering to the Democrats...which is exactly what will happen if people follow your advice?

They are undoubtedly responsible for electing Democrats..third party voting is really a suicide pact for Conservatives because it elects more Democrats. Also, the Conservatives should note that Rino’s have been mostly eliminated in blue and blue leaning states...has this helped our cause? No, because these Republicans were replaced by liberal Democrats. We have lost New England, parts of the west, New York, California,Mid West and are beginning to lose Virginia and North Carolina...where will this end...if we are not careful, it will end in permanent minority status and an impotent regional party...mostly located in the deep South.

Wrong message...Sarah certainly inspired conservative voters...however, in important swing states, this did not help.

Well, you have chosen the perfect party...they always lose; either you are a secret Dem or you like losing so why should anyone listen to you?

So, should a lot of you GOPBOTS stop blaming Conservatives...

You've got the wrong guy, AOV. I don't blame conservatives, I praise them for their principled approach to governance. I want to see more conservative Republicans, not less.

You would do well to carry yourself with a bit more civility on this forum. I offer this as friendly freeper advice.

Did you notice this poster had nothing good to say about the fact the entire GOP House held firm over the stimulus package? Typical.

Every state is important. I don’t buy into the swing state not buying in to conservatives. They bought in to the OObama change with the help of free media promulgation, acorn, etc.

Also some of the swing states are usually split closely anyhow. Some of the so called swing states generally lean DemocRat.

Swing states were lost because of the RINOs who didn’t give the GOP a good foot forward. People like Dole thought the party for them would go on. But when congress has a 10% approval rating, and the GOP congressional caucus was a big part of it, the swing states were set up to lose.

Also OObama raised how many hundred million dollars when he initially promised to limits? Sorry. McCain is a good guy but not the right guy for the times. Best thing he did was to enter Sarah Palin into the spotlight so we can rally behind a real person with real ideals. That was the same appeal that elected OObama. He seemed real and projected his message. Palin, on the other hand was repressed by the RNC when her message was solid and inspiring while McCain was lame and uninspiring.

Some states are more important...for example Ohio...no GOP president has ever been elected without Ohio. You have one size fits all candidates for every state...even conservative candidates, you will lose.

The Dems have not taken back power based on their message...no. They have fielded candidates that are likely to win in their states...conservative Dems in Georgia...yes Dems have been elected in GA. A moderate Republican might hold Voinicvich’s seat...maybe. Ohio is pretty ticked at the GOP because of the auto loan deal. However, a rock hard conservative will lose no matter what...Think about Santorum in PA...he was a great conservative, but he lost to pro-life Casey...see my point? Yes, Casey (Dad well respected) had the name and he was pro-life...he was a very good candidate for this state. Was he a pure, ideological Democrat-no...but he could win.

That's very good advice but probably a wasted effort on your part, attitudes like his are not easily altered and would be surprised to see him around long.

You're most likely correct. I figured I'd take a stab at it anyway, just this once.

“abominably misnamed “Fairness Doctrine,” an Orwellian concept”

>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

Correct me if I am wrong but doesn’t “Orwellian” imply that it would meet with Orwell’s approval? This is actually the type of concept that George Orwell warned against in his writings.

If I remember my Orwell, wasn’t “doublespeak” a concept he introduced? He certainly opposed it and warned against it.

The author of this piece must have meant that, but I agree he could have been more clear.

And the same goes for you and the others that hopped on me this morning, if you cannot stand in the arena of ideas and defend your position or your party's actions, then do not resort to personal attacks as some have done in this post.

I am a conservative and not beholden to ANY party, the only thing I want is my country back, and you know as well as I there are people within FR that are die hard GOP loyalist that attack anyone with a differing view...

So as I said before if you can't defend your party's actions in destroying this country, then don't resort to personal accusations and attacks! I for one will not stand idly by while some one berates me for my beliefs!

Bush kept us safe. He took his responsiblity of protecting his country seriously and that is probably more than we can expect from this Muzzie lover now occupying the Oval Office.

Bush also had a basic understanding of economics and if it weren't for Bush, we would not have had the tax cuts that spurred the economy with increased economic growth.

I'd gladly trade Bush for this creep we have now.

Bush has taken far more abuse then he should have. Gore and Kerry were both idiots and you have no idea that we would have gotten someone more conservative.

If you think the CP people are more pure than Republicans, you don’t understand human nature. I’m telling you they are bigger charlatans than Republicans.
