White House Unbuttons Formal Dress Code

The capital flew into a bit of a tizzy when, on his first full day in the White House, President Obama was photographed in the Oval Office without his suit jacket. There was, however, a logical explanation: Mr. Obama, who hates the cold, had cranked up the thermostat.
Mr. Obama has exhibited a relatively informal working relationship with aides like his staff secretary, Lisa Brown.
“He’s from Hawaii, O.K.?” said Mr. Obama’s senior adviser, David Axelrod, who occupies the small but strategically located office next door to his boss. “He likes it warm. You could grow orchids in there.”
Thus did a rule of the George W. Bush administration — coat and tie in the Oval Office at all times — fall by the wayside, only the first of many signs that a more informal culture is growing up in the White House under new management.
Mr. Obama promised to bring change to Washington and he has — not just in substance, but in presidential style.

Yet today he critized Washingtonians for not being tough enough re the icy conditions that closed the schools. He said that as being someone from Chicago.

Al may have flunked Seminary, VP and Pres Candidate, but he sure don’t kill the Golden Goose (he hasn’t sold his oil stocks has he?)

Asked if he meant the people of the national's capital are wimps, Obama said: "I'm saying, when it comes to the weather, folks in Washington don't seem to be able to handle things."
I predict we’ll see a pic of him in the oval office with a baseball cap on backwards.

Absolutely no respect for the office of the presidency...None at all. He’s not there to be “hip”. He’s there to work for the American people, and as such, he should dress the part.

You’ve GOT to be kidding me. He is so full of himself that he wants the world to know that NO rules apply to him, White House attire or documentation of citizenship included.
He is ABOVE all that.
