People will soon understand why these stimulus bills are nothing but bulls#it.Sadly, these bills are far worse than simply being B.S. You can't print your way out of the problem without affecting the worth of the paper that's being printed. We are in trouble.
Cold.
Hard.
Truth.

at the exact time when economists of every ideological stripe agree that government investments are the only way to get our economy moving again and make us competitive for the long term. Not sure which stripes she's talking about unless they are prison stripes. Keynesian are all on board, everyone else thinks the aforementioned are off their collectivist nut.

So far the democrats own this latest “bailout” lock, stock, and barrel, without any GOP support. That’s what she’s panicking about.

"* The Clinton Administration left a record budget surplus. President Bush turned it into the worst deficit in American history." No you little WITCH! A Republican Congress ran a budget surplus! And YOU Democrats have run a higher deficit since Jan 2007 than the Republicans have run from 1995 - 2006!

The Democrats now own the economy. If this pork bill was such a winner, Pelosi should be ecstatic that it got 0 Republican votes.

I don’t think she is panicking so much as she is fighting to make sure the final bill has as much of her pork and agenda spending as possible.

her annoying. His question to viewers was “would Obama be
better off without her a Speaker.”

From the article, This is not the first time the Republicans in the House have unanimously voted against a needed economic package. The last time, in 1993, when Democrats voted for tough action to clean up after Republican economic mess, not a single Republican voted for the legislation that produced record surpluses and a balanced budget.
Hopefully, it's not the last time.

It's interesting that she mentioned the vote in 1993, when the Republicans refused to cooperate with the Dems in their budget. The American people must have liked that action, because the following year, the Repubs. took back the house. I think folks will find that it is at THAT point that the budget Beat me to it. I just hope these current Republican remember that the "no" vote in 1993 and the Contract With America won them a majority in the House for the first time in, what, 40 years ? From our lips to their ears. :)

Hey, let’s pray for those who are doing the right thing instead of cursing them and thinking evil. God knows the heart.
A word of encouragement is the right thing. Not in foolishness, of course... ‘trust but verify’ still holds.

Nah, shes just sending out the list of talking points, so that the Dems can try to justify their support for this package. That's the point! Instead of congratulating one another on a job well done, they now have "The Republican Problem"
This is no "well orchestrated media leak" as some here have suggested... this is a panic memo to members to try to reassure themselves of their own actions as well as a glimpse into a half-dozen or so bizarre self-delusions Nancy lives under.

I really have no clue how she ever got elected or how she stays in office. The same way Teddy the Swimmer and John Effin Kerry get elected and stay in office. They all live in areas awash in liberal voters.

Layoffs are hitting hard everywhere.
Here in Northern Minnesota, (Franken/Obama country) the factories (all 4 of them) are laying off half their workforces.
These people were living high on the hog for years, well beyond their means and most didn't save a dime. Now, they will probably lose their trailer houses and their new or leased vehicles will go back to the bank or the dealer.
But they are all talking about still having Food Stamps and home heating subsidies in an unlimited supply. The Democrats are their heroes.

2.6 million American jobs were lost in 2008 alone."Didn't Congress pass, and the President sign into law an economic stimulus bill in 2008? If these stimulus programs work so well, why the high rate of job loss?

Hey, lets pray for those who are doing the right thing instead of cursing them and thinking evil. God knows the heart.I so agree. I'm so tired of FReepers pissing all over anything that shows a positive glimmer.
I usually just ignore those posts. People with that attitude aren't going to contribute much to a solution.
