What some of our cities are requesting...

http://www.usmayors.org/mainstreeteconomicrecovery/stimulussurveyparticipantsdata.asp?City=Asheville&State=NC

http://www.usmayors.org/mainstreeteconomicrecovery/stimulussurveyparticipantsdata.asp?City=Charlotte&State=NC

http://www.usmayors.org/mainstreeteconomicrecovery/stimulussurveyparticipantsdata.asp?City=Concord&State=NC

http://www.usmayors.org/mainstreeteconomicrecovery/stimulussurveyparticipantsdata.asp?City=Durham&State=NC

http://www.usmayors.org/mainstreeteconomicrecovery/stimulussurveyparticipantsdata.asp?City=Fayetteville&State=NC

http://www.usmayors.org/mainstreeteconomicrecovery/stimulussurveyparticipantsdata.asp?City=Gastonia&State=NC

http://www.usmayors.org/mainstreeteconomicrecovery/stimulussurveyparticipantsdata.asp?City=Rocky+Mount&State=NC

http://www.usmayors.org/mainstreeteconomicrecovery/stimulussurveyparticipantsdata.asp?City=Winston-Salem&State=NC

O.K. Now, here you have to actually look at the last line of each one of them.

Asheville $13,950,000
Charlotte $827,300,000
Concord: $50,243,050
Durham $105,002,217
Fayetteville $93,683,001
Gastonia $202,240,000
Rocky Mount $62,700,000
Winston Salem $618,050,000

The total from just these towns alone is 1,973,168,268

That's almost TWO BILLION DOLLARS for makework programs. Apparently, they think putting a new roof on a fire department is going to create a long-term job for someone.

They are making temp-work.

That's just SICK!!!!

Saw in the paper today our local school districts are in line for millions in pork.

I don't blame the municipal governments, though. The government's ladling it out and they figure they might as well get their share or the Dems will just give it to someone else.

This is hilarious. $ 13,950,000 for Asheville to create 193 jobs. Lets do the math. That’s over 72 grand for each job. Wouldn’t it be cheaper to give the durn money away. LOL. We are making plans to move within the next two years, to a state without Yankees ruining it, I mean running it.

This reminds me of a quote I saw on a bathroom stall once. it went “ SOMEone, SOMEwhere, has SOME money and I have to find SOME way to get SOME of it”.

Sheeesh, this is a pure money grab of Biblical proportions. If, and that is a BIG IF, THE MESSIAH is ever removed from office, can this pork bill be recinded? Or do we have to live with it since Plugs will be in the Oval Office? This is just sickening.

I agree. Just saw in my newspaper yesterday that the City Council will be able to apply for millions in grants for downtown sidewalks!!

Everybody’s on the dole and the dems will supply it.

I wish my city would apply. Instead yesterday they voted to add a 5¢ per gallon tax on gas sold here.

The thing is, those grants only cover part of the cost. The rest gets paid for by us in city bonds, etc.

Many in the city are already objecting, saying we don’t NEED those new sidewalks in the downtown area.

I don’t think there’s much honesty in anyone in power anymore. If the money is there for the taking, they are gonna take it - needed or not - because if they don’t, someone else will.

We’re digressing in that direction.

I dislike my local city council men. In all cities they are out for themselves. They want this, they want that and all so that they can have an ‘important’ city to represent.

Some own restaurants so they try to ban local food vendors. Try to ban anything that has influence on their own holdings.

Perhaps in every city, state, federal level -

Two judges, two politicians -

One of each party -

Should have a bad end -

- But then only the illegal aliens and Chi-Town thugs would be left and running wild

No consequences for crooked bought politicians and judges - and in your pocket bigtime

The only part of the USA that has grown consistently while honest citizens lose jobs, money, lifestyle, comparative income - is government - union or bought or elected

The only part of the USA that has grown consistently — is government.

For sure.

I am aghast at the latest articles I read about Obama wanting the Military to change it’s oath - “to the President” and not to the constitution as it always has been.

He is taking over and it’s frightening.

Isolated incidents of killings using “assault weapons” are suddenly being pimped by the MSM - with democrat politicians demanding new “reasonable gun control laws”

Talk radio is now dangerous divisive dissent and must be shut up by Congress and O’Bummer -

Next the Reichstag will have a little fire.....

All in the first few weeks?

The ‘oath to the President’ was really startling to me. He is already behaving like a dictator.

Well, we could vote, write letters, or hold a protest march...

Think that'll stop 'em?

Yeah... Me neither...

One if by Land. Two if by Sea.

The oath to the “Present” by US military will never happen

O’Bummer is depending on his and his wife’s prior racist warnings

That will not stop his inevitable demise

I’m not sure how the ‘racist warnings’ tie in with the oath to the President never happening. But, I’m sure you do, lol.
