They need to have helicopters in the air checking on all those living in remote areas. They also need to make sure that livestock have food and water or those farmers will be ruined and there will be a lot of hungry people come spring.

Anyone know if they are doing anything like that?

Thank you!

I just wish I was there with them. As we all know, (Boy oh Boy do we know!), The housing market in Florida is bad. I am hoping for a turn-around. And even giving the house up for foreclosure is not an option as I have a VA guaranteed loan and I will just have to pay them back for the rest of my life.

Take care and have a great day.

I need to fix my compass - I meant to say “Western Kentucky, Northwestern Tennessee, and Southeastern Missouri”.

I went to that website to check it out, and didnt like what I saw, so I agree that it doesn't deserve any publicity on FR. The photo itself is funny, though.

When I run across a graphic that makes some kind of point ( including, sometimes those I disagree with ) I'll snatch it and use it-- pictures bypass the rational process almost completely.

That's why TV is so obnoxiously effective, and why advertisers use them. Also, why editorial cartoons can convey an idea faster than reams of written words.

I can't recall ever following the URL to see what the hosting site is about.

All that aside, it's damn funny. If the shoe fits, you gotta wear it.

If they want immediate help, they should call NAACP, or Jessie, or the Sharpone. Obama won and doesn’t have to respond.

Great website your wife has there, an enjoyable read.

Ever think of renting out your FL house? It will get money moving around your bank account.

I meant the photo you were commenting on. I guess it was by backhoe, but it appears to have been deleted.

Nothing like a little refreshment at the community organization meeting.

It’s a predominately white state where people cling to bibles and guns. They are well outside the demographics of the groups Obama will deign to help.

Where’s the media jumping up and down upon Obama’s ass for not doing anything? YOu know, like they objectively and un-biasedly did to the republican who was president the last eight years?

That shoulder patch is a very nice, subtle touch.

Initial FEMA-administered aid is limited to $5 million. From post 33

I don’t think this will cover it, do you?

Great pictures - your land is beautiful as is your granddaughter. Good luck selling the house in Florida and surviving the storm in Kentucky!

Let's see

When a white Republican is President and the disaster affects blacks, the media are all over the story 24/7. They report FEMA is incompetent and uncaring, and attribute both to racism.

When a black Democrat is President and the disaster affects whites, the media is silent and FEMA is "doing a great job."

The only thing consistent about the media is their bias.
