The Boss is owning up to a mistake. In an interview with Sunday's New York Times, Bruce Springsteen says he shouldn't have made a deal with Wal-Mart. This month, the store started exclusively selling a Springsteen greatest hits CD.

Some fans were critical because Springsteen has been a longtime supporter of worker's rights, and Wal-Mart has faced criticism for its labor practices.

Springsteen told the Times that his team didn't vet the issue as closely as he should have, and that he "dropped the ball on it."

Springsteen went on to say: "It was a mistake. Our batting average is usually very good, but we missed that one. Fans will call you on that stuff, as it should be."

Springsteen released his new CD "Working on a Dream" this week and is performing the halftime show at the Super Bowl

BS. He probably knew he would take some heat for it but figures the payoff is worth it.

“worker’s rights”?

Where is that enumerated in the Constitution?

Get up off your duff, save and start your own business. If not appreciate the owner who got off their duff, saved, started a business, and hired you.

Isn’t this the same draft-dodger who hid up in Canada while his contemporaries had to fight for their country. I’ve always considered him a dirtbag.

They call him the “foreman” because he rolls up his sleeves . . . I tell people that to him, his shirts are costumes . . . to us, they’re uniforms.

He’s a typical, liberal, untalented, anti-American weenie . . . but we’re making him rich, aren’t we?

If Bruce thinks he is so great, why doesn’t he release “The Best of Springsteen’s Incoherent Political Ramblings.” Let’s see how many albums he sells then.

being from the east coast & growing up & having listened to Springsteen, for some weird strange reason I never got his “message” it never related to me .
Now, & whatever age he is , i guess a boomer , his disclaimer about his walmart fiasco reminds me of Oprah and her recent weight gain and apologetics.
same diff, huh?

I don’t care for his singing either - he’s more of a grunter.

I never saw his attraction. OK blue collar. But really, can he sing. He is not another Dylan. And a big lefty.
