Call it the first fruits of Barack Obamas boast in the July 2007 YouTube debate. Obama will meet one-fifth of that obligation in April, when he will apparently meet with Venezuelan dictator-wannabe Hugo Chavez in Trinidad:

Why not, they are both commies. If you haven't watched the Frontline video “The Hugo Chavez Show” You should. After you will understand why there is an endless parade of left-wing nuts from the USA going down and kissing his ring.
Obama is Chavez, Chavez is Obama ... Watch the show.
And while you are at it, check out the Mexico news, as the commies are taking over the place using the drug lords as cover.

Was Obama not paying attention to what Chavez did to ConocoPhillips and Exxon in 2001? Chavez’ promises mean squat, which is why Obama is attracted to him.

I read in Saturday’s WSJ that French oil company Total, after being screwed by Hugo more than a year ago, is back, asking for another screwing.

....next he'll meet with the Mexican drug lords to work out a deal. Then the Mullahs to give up Afghanistan, then the North Koreans to give them Nukes just to make things even.
Then introduce Sharia law just so he can get a Mosque named after himself, after all he don't like the Constitution as it is written today.

Good grief, just what we need, a dialogue with Hugo Chavez. That should be sooo productive.

Well it's probably because it's true. Chavez is the lefties template to take over America. The only thing that has gone wrong in Venezuela is the oil price dropped cutting off the freebie supply.
Same thing has happened in Russia where the protest are mounting as the oil produced freebie supply dries up.
Have you watched the video? If so you probably noticed there are two levels to Hugo's Government, the regular secretaries, who regularly get fired live and on air, and the czars who sit in the back controlling them. The czars report direct to Hugo, but don't get confirmed by anyone, they are czars after-all. Sound familiar?

It should be a one-termer Presidency followed by multi-term Presidencies to fix the damage. But... it is hard to be optimistic given that this guy was voted into office, and our bizzaro world population will likely goose step in line with whatever is said by the Obomber.

One thing is for sure.....chavez has been going after control of his nation for some time now...steadily stealing very freedom and running over anyone who disagrees with him
Perhaps obama wants first hand tutelage. For certain, obama and chavez will have no problem getting along, both despise our nation.

The Zero sure lives up to his name, time and again.
The fraudulent messiah has done more to ruin the republic in two weeks than Clinton did in two terms.
Really, honestly: would Bill Clinton have met with Hugo Chavez (other than to arrange a speaking fee)?
I can see it now: Obama will shake hands with Chavez while they both sport Che t-shirts at the photo op.

Elections have thousands of consequences. Some minor, some major...and some that can kill you.Only when self-styled "real" conservatives get this through their thick skulls and learn how to play politics effectively will we be able to turn things around.

I don’t bet either on such things.
That said, given President Zero hasn’t made one decision that will benefit this nation long or short term, and seems to think economic salavation lies with unions and socialism (can’t wait to see that coming conflict of interests play out) right now I’d say he’s heading down Jimmy Carter lane, a dead end one term Presidency.
We’ll see. Clinton was heading that way at the same time in his first term, only to be saved by Bob ‘Its my turn, Damnit!’ Dole.
Fortunately, we got the 21 century version of Bob Dole out of the way in November of 08....
