S-U-B-M-I-S-S-I-O-N

The new president has been conveying his "respect" for the Muslim world. Unfortunately, the way he practices it seems to be spelled s-u-b-m-i-s-s-i-o-n. Obama's outreach to the Muslim world is not only defensive and apologetic. It explicitly embraces a narrative that is factually erroneous and deprecating to his own country. For example, in his inaugural address the president spoke of seeking "a new way forward based on mutual interest and mutual respect." He amplified this idea during his first post-inaugural interview, which was granted to a Saudi-owned network, Al Arabiya: He is determined to "restore" the "same respect and partnership America had with the Muslim world as recently as 20 or 30 years ago." The problem with this is that it misrepresents the more distant as well as the recent past, even as it panders to those (abroad and at home)who blame the United States for the ills of the Muslim world. As Charles Krauthammer put it in his syndicated column, over the last 20 years, "America did not just respect Muslims, it bled for them..." Obama also told Al Arabiya that: "My job is to communicate that...the language we use has to be a language of respect. I have Muslim members of my family. I have lived in Muslim countries."

Among other observations, Gaffney says: "For good measure, the new president described America as a country of "Muslims, Christians, Jews" and others - a presumably intentional upgrading adherents to the faith of his father, Islam, from the second place position he accorded them in his State of the Union Address several days before. What is really worrying is that Obama's actions and rhetoric are being perceived by his target audience as evidence not of respect but subservience - precisely what Islam (literally, "submission" in Arabic) requires of all of us. Obama has made no secret of his desire to cultivate improved relations with the mullahs of Iran. The Washington Times' ace national security reporter Bill Gertz said Obama has engaged several Arab intermediaries to relay messages to and from al Qaeda: "Obama sees this as helpful to his plans to essentially withdraw from Afghanistan an Iraq during his first term." If surrender in Afghanistan, Iraq and Iran were not enough, upcoming opportunities for Obama to exhibit American submission to Islam include ordering U.S. participation in the U.N.'s "Durban II" conference - thereby legitimizing the Iran-dictated, rabidly anti-Israel, anti-American, Holocaust-denying agenda. Whatever Obama's intentions, the kind of "respect" he is exhibiting toward Shariah-adherent Muslims will surely be seen by them as submission. And that spells only one thing: D-I-S-A-S-T-E-R.

appeasement:

is a policy of accepting the imposed conditions of an aggressor in lieu of armed resistance, usually at the sacrifice of principles. Usually it means giving in to demands of an aggressor in order to avoid war. ...

...guess we know where Obambi stands on “principles”

here’s a reminder from Joe “stand up chuck” Biden:

“Mark my words,” the Democratic vice presidential nominee warned at the second of his two Seattle fundraisers Sunday. “It will not be six months before the world tests Barack Obama like they did John Kennedy…. Watch, we’re gonna have an international crisis, a generated crisis, to test the mettle of this guy.”

“I can give you at least four or five scenarios from where it might originate,” Biden said to Emerald City supporters, mentioning the Middle East and Russia as possibilities. “And he’s gonna need help. And the kind of help he’s gonna need is, he’s gonna need you - not financially to help him - we’re gonna need you to use your influence, your influence within the community, to stand with him. Because it’s not gonna be apparent initially, it’s not gonna be apparent that we’re right.”

“Gird your loins,” Biden told the crowd….

To stop the endless speculation as to whether his subjects will be Sunni or Shia, Lord Obama should quickly capitulate to the first Islamic Republic that will accept his surrender and put an end to this uncertainty.

The undue stress among the subjects is hurting the economy,

Or as Churchill said of Chamberlain -

He was given a choice between war and dishonor. He chose dishonor and he will have war anyway.

Before the election I speculated to myself that,if the worst of my fears were realized, 0 would do this. You now say that he actually DID?

Can you really provide evidence? This is serious stuff...

Saudi Arabia' royalty fears any reconciliation between Al Qaida and the United States. The sources said Saudi King Abdullah worries that Obama's effort would legitimize Al Qaida and bolster its status in the Gulf Arab kingdom.

Wow. Ya think? Wouldn't Obama recognition of Al Queda mean an almost complete victory for them?

(Cue picture of Obama *not* putting his hand over his heart during pledge...)
