War Is Peace. Freedom is Slavery. Ignorance is Strength.
These slogans are spoken in Newspeak, the fictional language of George Orwells twisted utopia in 1984. By removing meaning from words and increasing state control over speechand thoughtNewspeak is designed to manipulate those who hear it.
In California, Newspeak is now spoken fluently by those who seek to advance a political agenda in healthcare by avoiding scrutiny.
Under the guise of access to primary care, the Regents of the University of California have been conducting an experiment on women in Concord, Los Angeles and San Diego. Exploiting a pilot project program enacted in 1973 to address a gerontology workforce shortage, Healthcare Workforce Pilot Project (HWPP) #171 allows women seeking medical care to become subjects of social research.
The purpose of this experiment? Demonstrate the role of advanced practice clinicians in expanding early pregnancy care.
Thats Orwellian for training non-physicians to perform first trimester abortions.
In the pilot project, approved in 2006 without legislative oversight, Planned Parenthood sites in three California cities suspended state regulations to use Nurse Midwives, Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants to perform surgical abortions by suction aspiration.
The performance of this procedure by these personnel is prohibited by the Business and Professions Code of the state, the Board of Registered Nursing and the Medical Board of California. HWPP #171 avoids this practice ban in their application to the program by asserting that the access to early abortion services is an important public health goal.
It is interesting, in the language of distortion, to note the population that is the focus of this public service. Though reporting that abortion rates have risen among poor and low-income women, the program sponsor at the University of California admits that the goal of the pilot project is to expand abortion practice and access, particularly in underserved areas.
The project director, an attorney, apparently believes that the underserved populations of Californiaoverwhelmingly Latino and African-Americanwould benefit from even higher rates of abortion: It will create providers in underserved areas that need them the most and integrate abortion services into previously existing health care networks.
At least this doublespeak is consistent with the stated goals of Planned Parenthoods founder, Margaret Sanger: "Birth control must lead ultimately to a cleaner race." (Woman, Morality, and Birth Control, New York Publishing Company, 1922.)
"The undeniably feebleminded should indeed, not only be discouraged but prevented from propagating their kind," she wrote in 1921, the year she founded the organization that became Planned Parenthood.
The sponsor of the surgical abortion by non-physicians project, University of California, San Franciscos Bixby Center for Reproductive Health, must have missed the Newspeak memo about renaming abortion early pregnancy care. They fund research called The Early Abortion Project.
Its more difficult to convert numbers into Newspeak, as evidenced by the pilot project applications report of the projected three-year cost of the program: $1.3 million. Funding is provided by UC San Francisco, Kaiser Permanente of Northern California, Planned Parenthood Affiliates of California, The David and Lucille Packard Foundation, The John Merck Fund and The Educational Foundation of America.
The taxpayers of California also foot the bill through the grant approval process and oversight provided by the states Office of Statewide Health Planning and Development. Professional license fees paid by doctors and nurses to the Board of Registered Nursing, the Medical Board of California and the American College of OB/Gyns also fund project review and site visits.
And the ultimate goal of the project couldnt be clearer: Disseminate our abortion training and utilization model to other faculties and states interested in expanding the pool of primary care abortion providers.
Syme, the loyal Ministry of Truth word replacement specialist in 1984, would have been happy to visit our state in 2009: "It's a beautiful thing, the destruction of words."
But not so beautiful when the legislature is deceived by doublespeak, and minority populations are targeted for social engineering. Does anyone care?

Her true legacy started in 1973.
50 MILLION American deaths and rising at a rate of over 3500 per day.
I fear that is just the beginning.
Murder = Healthcare
When there is no God, there can be no God-given rights. Then the concept of God-given rights can be ignored, and Murder becomes a moral ‘gray area’. As a side-effect the entire US Constitution becomes a meaningless piece of paper.
There is no such thing as someone who is an atheist and a Republican.
“When there is no God....”
Oh, but there is, even in the minds of the liberals. They believe themselves to be gods. Therefore, they can do no wrong! Wrong=Right......as long as it feels good or fits with my beliefs.
Michael Savage says liberalism is a mental illness. I disagree....it is a personality flaw; a character disorder. Many mental illnesses can be treated with medication and psychotherapy. There’s no fix for a character disorder!

To liberals, pregnancy = STD
I beg your pardon?

Right to Life ping
The comparison to George Orwell's masterpiece, 1984, is an excellent one. The abortionists are going to extreme lengths to conceal their work behind misleading and duplicitous language. Thank you Senator Aanestad for bringing attention to this deception.
Those on the left are using very misleading language because they know we won't like what they have planned for us.
In Eichman in Jerusalem, German-Jewish Philosopher Hannah Arendt argues that one of the reasons the Nazis were capable of committing murder on such a massive scale was because people acted as though the Nazi program was acceptable and understandable. She argues that when people in occupied countries stood up to the Nazi program, (for example in Switzerland,) the Nazi's lost their nerve and their local agents became increasingly reluctant to participate in crimes against humanity—specifically those directed at Jewish citizens.
The abortionists are in the same boat. Abortion is homicide--the human embryo or fetus IS deliberately killed. What the abortionists are doing is legal, but it is still murder. We have to confront them for what they in fact do, and refuse to allow them to opperate under euphemisms such as "choice" and "women's rights." Murder is neither a right nor a valid choice.
It's encouraging that abortionists are now becoming much less honest about their plans. Remember that only a few years ago, the pro-abortion activists were attempting to “normalize” forms of homicide that fell under the rubric of abortion? Ms. Magazine gathered a list of names from women who chose to publicize their abortions in one of it's issues. There were t-shirts to commemorate abortions. “I had an abortion.”
We should recognize that we have won a victory when we see the pro-abortionists once again resorting to euphemisms for homicide by abortion. By using evasive and duplicitous language, they demonstrate that they know people do not like what they are doing. They out-funded and out maneuvered us politically in government, in universities, and in hospitals, but their utilization of euphemism to describe homicide by abortion shows they recognize most people would be opposed to what they are doing if they were aware of it. Hillary Clinton now appears to be referring to homicide by abortion as “women's rights.”
We have to call the action by its true name. "Freedom is the freedom to say that 2 + 2 makes 4." Abortion is homicide, abortion is murder. Abortion is dehumanizing because it treats a human being as a disposable hunks of matter, as nothing more than "a blob of cells."
We are fortunate that Senator Aanestad is keeping us abreast of developments in the Left’s “Newspeak” (for those of us who haven't yet read the 11th and definitive edition!) relating to homicide by abortion, so that we can be aware of the backdoor attempts by abortionists to further infiltrate and corrupt the public health-care system. Thank you Senator! I don't live in California, but we are now alerted for homicide by abortion being concealed under the name "early pregnancy care" here.
Culture of Lying, Stealing, and Murdering ping!
In his inaugural address, President John F. Kenned said that “the rights of man come not from the generosity of the state, but from the Hand of God.”
According to Time magazine, Barack Obama has said that rights come from the state and not from “the church.”
It's more than distressing that children are being legally murdered in this country. In the end, however, we will win. Look how the abortionists hide under euphemism and lies. No sane person believes that abortion is in anyway synonymous with “early pregnancy care.” We have to expose them. These are murderers who crave good opinions for their actions. They are child killers, not brave people.
That should have read Sweden, not Switzerland.
What I’m thinking will be needed to turn this around has to remain unsaid.
Oh MY! Thanks for the Thread, Jim!
