'Baby boomers' Hit By Sex Cancers

'Baby boomers' hit by sex cancers

Sexual "liberation" may have fuelled cancer rates

The arrival of the "swinging sixties" may have heralded a rise in sexually-transmitted cancers, say researchers.

Rates of anal, vulval and vaginal cancers rose for "baby boomers" born in the decades after the Second World War.

The culprit, said the King's College London study, is the human papillomavirus (HPV), acquired during sex.

Changes in sexual habits may be responsible, the British Journal of Cancer reported.

These results have revealed a snapshot of just how much rates of these cancers have increased in the post war generations Dr David Robinson King's College London

HPV has been implicated in a number of cancers, including cervical, anal, vulval, vaginal and penile.

Some estimates suggest that up to three out of four people will be infected with it at some point in their lives, although the immune system is normally able to destroy it.

Plus, when one puts fruit, plastic, car batteries, whatever in areas that weren’t meant to have them there, this can be a result.

They neglected to mention the clear correlation between the use of “the pill” and the skyrocketing increase in breast cancer.
Don’t bother whining about “studies” that contradict this conclusion. Try actually reading the studies and not the pedestrian summaries yourself.

The culprit, said the King's College London study, is the human papillomavirus (HPV), acquired during sex.

"Acquired" during sex?

That's a very odd choice of word for the BBC to use. "Acquire" typically signifies gain in a positive way -- as in, we acquired a fortune.

"Contracted" is a far better word here. Unless the BBC thinks HPV is a good thing...

You also have to take into account the first pills had really high levels of hormones in them. Nowadays less works just as well (if you don’t forget to take ‘em).

It is getting to the point that by the time someone gets married, they have already had numerous sexual partners. Therefore they are putting their future wife or husband at a risk for these dangerous diseases.

if people wait til marriage, they dont have to worry about this stuff.

Right!

I can’t find the paper, but a researcher ~10 years ago wrote that most human STD’s are mutations of lower animal diseases.

This article was not just about gay people.

I rapidly increasing number of women are getting anal cancer related to HPV.

But I think it has more to do with people being more permiscuious now than it does the acts themselves, which have always existed.

although the immune system is normally able to destroy it.

We're also seeing more and more cases of weak and underdeveolped immune systems because we've gone overboard "sanitizing" everything, and throwing antibiotics at every sniffle that comes along.

Acquired Immune Deficiency Syndrome (AIDS) - I always thought that was a weird name - never really approached accuracy in the details of that disease. The high-risk people never wanted to change their behavior, just find them a “cure.” Behavior-driven diseases certainly lead the way in medical problems for the Boomers and all the young people coming up.

Speaking of AIDS, I remember when Magic Johnson first announced to the public that he had AIDS. He, too, chose an odd verb. I believe he said he had "attained" the disease. Again, that's another word (like "acquired") that typically connotes a positive gain.

It's funny how people spin things with politic diction, isn't it?

I can’t find the paper, but a researcher ~10 years ago wrote that most human STD’s are mutations of lower animal diseases.

Most all diseases that humans get (that are not from nutritional deficiencies) are from animals. It was the close relationship of humans and domesticated animals in Eurasia that gave those people relative immunity from the diseases they carried to other parts of the world.

Apparently huge percentage of us will get some form of HPV, but being there are only a few types that give cancer (or warts)...one shouldn’t overly worry. Women, I think, should be the most prudent, since they have a much higher chance to get cancer than men; but they must also consider that almost every other disease is easier for them to get....including HIV.

Behind gay men and ‘h’ users, women are the distant third. So it pays to know whom you’re getting involved with and not treating sex so casually.

I think it may be God’s judgement on people who are promiscuous. The healthiest (sexual) relationship is a relationship of one man and one woman in marriage- it’s proven. Anyone trying to say otherwise is just fooling themselves.

Yes, we’ve pretty much always had homosexuality, but it’s alway been an abomination unto God and unacceptable.

"rapidly increasing number of women are getting anal cancer"

This is one of the main reasons why it will be increasingly difficult to make a public case against homosexuality in general or homosexual marriage in particular.

Traditionally the only acceptable form of sex was vaginal intercourse. The only way for this to occur was between one man and one woman.

As soon as oral and anal sex became acceptable among heterosexuals it became impossible to make a non-hypocritical case against it among homosexuals.

Our high divorce rate is an ongoing indictment of heterosexual disrespect of marriage. The high divorce rate is paradoxically one of the main arguments that gays use to ask for the extension of marriage to themselves: heterosexuals may claim that marriage is a sacred bond between a man and a woman, but our actions show otherwise.

We are well on our way down the slippery slope ... which has been made even more slippery with KY jelly.

I have 34 years of experience in cancer detection. The incidence of HPV is epidemic, particularly in college age girls. The incidence of gay men contracting anal HPV is skyrocketing. Yet no one in Big Media tells the story. The ‘Free Love’ attitude of the 60’s is coming home to roost. The HPV vaccine protects against SOME strains of HPV but viruses are notorious for mutating. IMO young people need to be taught self control. But the new Administration is stuck on the ‘Free Love’ aspect and ‘get an abortion if you need it’. I think the reason the Dems had so many young voters last election is that Dems don't expect a person to take any responsibility for their actions. Sadly many of these young people will be forced to take responsibility for their diseases. I think it contributes to the breakdown of our society and culture. But that's what the Dems want, isn't it?

Sperm readily penetrates the anal wall (which is only one cell thick) and gains direct access to the blood stream. This causes massive immunological damage to the body's T- and B-cell defensive systems. Manlight, G. et. al.
