there is no way the bill could be characterized as bi-partisan.

That may be true in the real world but the democrats are already tagging it with the bipartisan label and the media is sure to give them backup.

The Republican Party cannot stop any bill because they do not have the votes, it is that simple. The most important thing for the Republicans to do is to fight and show the disaster of socialism that the democrats are bringing. This way they have a huge weapon to fight the democrats in the next elections.

I will only be satisfied with the GOP when they start kicking these Liberals out of the party.

“Pared-Down?” My @$$

The sente started with 800 billion and are ending up with 827 billion.

I believe Pelosi has no concept of numbers. Yesterday she said that each month 500 million people in the United States lose their jobs. (So much for the House leader, a real honest to goodness nut case) At that rate in three months every man, woman, and child in China and the US would be out of work. There are a few more in congress that have no concept of what 827 billion dollars is. They should be run out of office, and tarred and feathered.

(Have we already forgotten the 750 billion they threw down the John already?)

Any so called republican that votes for this monstrosity needs to be voted out of office the next time up for reelection.

Why isn’t Mike Steele on tv talking about this anywhere? I can’t find him talking about this tragic situation at all. Maybe later on today he will....hopefully.

Since they can't stop the bills with Snowe, Collins, Specter in the party how about they can't stop the bills without Snowe, Collins, Specter in the party?

*start kicking these Liberals out of the party.*

Sort of like many of us feel about those on FR who sound
like they are for the U.S. but vote for Third Party candidates whose anti war, 9/11 Truther views are more in line with Obama

The media wants to make it sound like this is a bipartisan filching. But 3 or 4 GOP senators going along with this is not bipartisanship, and the RNC better be willing to throw these traitors under the bus if necessary.

My problem isn't with the occasional disagreement but when Collins has voted with the GOP only about 30% of the time there has to be a line drawn and consequences for crossing that line.

You are absolutely correct...and they should be stripped of any meaningful committee or caucus position they hold.

They are already voting with the Dems without even consulting the GOP leadership.

So, if they leave the Party or are kicked out, it’s not really a big deal. Long term it may even be beneficial.

*how about they can’t stop the bills without Snowe, Collins, Specter in the party?*

Democrats have more senators than Republicans, do the math.
The Dems are in the tank for their own guy.
Besides the Democrat congress you have the MSM, Public Schools, the Universities, the Unions, get a clue.

I don’t think it will work when only two Republicans in all of congress voted for the bill. Not even the media can spin that. On top of that 11 democrats in the House voted against the bill.

I know a lot of angry people will be yelling to vote no but it's obvious that this will pass because of RINOs so I plan on saving the “vote no” yelling and going right to the “kick their asses out of the party, NOW”.

This true. You may know it, I may know it, and the majority of Republican Congressmen who opposed it may know it, but with just two Republican votes, the rats will now go on every news show and label it ‘bipartisan” while laughing up their sleeves, and the Great American Sheeple won’t bother to dig any deeper-they think they know something if they happen to catch a clip from the evening news while looking for “American Idol”. That’s one way we ended up with Hussein. This rape of the taxpayers will now be labeled as “bipartisan”. All thanks to the cheap whores from “our” side.

Unfortunately Collins is not going to run for Senate again after her current term, so someone (I forget who) said she had decided she is going to do whatever she wants to do.

You should have heard on the Senate floor tonight. Disgusting. Half the arguments she made were the exact arguments one would make to NOT vote for the amendment.

She said on the one hand that compromise was necessary to get rid of the the spending in the bill that was more appropriate for the regular appropriations process. Then she turned right around and attempted to justify spending for Special Education (that would create no new jobs). Ridiculous.
