MEET UP 10 A.M. MONDAY AT SPECTERS OFFICE 711 HART SENATE OFFICE BUILDING
Just checked the airlines. Looks like we can get reasonably priced tickets to DC. Will arrive Sunday night. Available to protest Porkulus Monday and Tuesday and return to Fresno as a free man on Wednesday.
Will anyone join me?
Eagles UP and appreciation to you!
I'm with you in spirit.
Go baby Go! If I could cone i would bring a scrificial Pig.
It will have to be in spirit, big guy, but I admire you for leading the troops (and everything else you do). We’ll keep the phone lines burning.
Good job Jim. Can we get talk radio somehow to get others to join Jim who live in the area?
Can’t make it but will be praying hard.
What airline did you look at? I just checked SW and it’s about $800.00 round trip
Good for you. I’ll home, homeschooling my kiddos. But we’ll keep you in our prayers.
Wish I could! There would be two from this house joining you if we could. Sure with you in spirit though!
AA at $838 round trip. Will also need to book a hotel.
Im in DC till tuesday morning. Let me know when and where.
(per person)
We got a great deal at the Lombardi fairly near the mall for four days including airfare for 400 a piece through Yahoo travel.
Great! See you there!
Jim,
I live in Maryland. Let me know where you’re meeting and I’ll be there with my family.
Mark
Great! Don’t know where we’re staying or meeting yet, but hope to see you there! Hopefully some of the local FReepers can coordinate the times and places.
Wow Jim! Kinda short notice! We’ll pray for you!
Anyone got fare info from S. Florida?
Weather in the 50s and breezy.
711 Hart Senate Office Building.
When the rubber needs to hit the road they got us all tied up money wise, rat bas***rds.
That adds even more to the frustration.
That’s a great idea! I will be doing that as well.
Rise up!
General strike!
Monday, February 9, 2009.
As you know, the U.S. Senate is expected to vote on the Stinky Swine Dung Act on Monday. The SSD Act would steal over $800,000,000,000 - plus interest - to line the pockets of the politically favored few.
What is at stake is vastly more important than just the debt. The stolen money will be used to secure political control of the United States into the future. How many elections can $800 billion buy? How many more government employed or funded parasites will it fund?
Stop this bill through non-violent action.
. Get hold of your friends, neighbors, co-workers. Organize. Be creative. Have fun.
. Start early on Monday, February 9, 2009.
. Shut down the capitol area of Washington, D.C. Get as many people and vehicles as possible into D.C. Got a big rig? Bring it. Got a trailer? Bring it. Have a full tank of gas. Enjoy the day “sightseeing”. Don’t curse the traffic jam, create it. Create a spectacle. Be creative.
. Not everyone can get to D.C. What can you and your friends shut down? Create a spectacle. Be creative. Have fun.
. Get on the telephone. Call every senator. Twice. Call local politicians. No one who supports this bill is fit to hold public office. (The Stinky Swine Dung Act is also known as H.R.1, “The American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009”, “The Generational Theft Act”, “The Stimulus Bill”, and “The Crap Sandwich”.)
. Communicate. Honk. Wave. Encourage each other.
. Have fun. Party.
. Be creative. Be effective, but legal.
Then Olympia Snowe at 154 Russell Senate Office Building (can avoid going outside by traversing basement tunnel from Dirksen.)
Sounds great to me!
I just checked expedia and the fare was $289 from Miami.
Matt, you out there?
DC ping
bump
Will try and make it Monday.
Hi Jim, Can’t go to the Senate building Monday, however I did just rifle off a scathing snail mail letter to each of my lame senators. I believe snail mail is not as easy to ignore as emails when contacting corrupt politicians. I told them what I thought of their votes in favor of Porkulus money for ACORN. I let ‘em have it with both barrels.
My lame senators are Feingold (partial birth abortion advocate) and Kohl. They get voted in year after year. We have no voter ID law here, so the voter fraud is rampant. Feingold and Kohl have their cushy jobs as long as they want them.
Anyway, I hope you get a great turn out of protesters against the Porkulus Bill. All I can do is flame away in the snail mails to these unAmerican traitors Kohl and Feingold.
God love ‘ya!
Do you know what time and where? I’ll be happy to “scoot” over from the office and join in.
Maryland “Freak State” PING!
PING!
Thanks for those links. This conservative Republican woman from the northeastern state of New Jersey just gave them a piece of my mind.
I can’t on Monday because of something that I would not change even for this (involves my son), but am trying to rearrange Tuesday so I can be down there.
I’ve been badgering Collins, Snowe and Specter for a few days now, so they may want to see me in person!!!
God be with ya Jim. I, like many others, can’t afford to go. I’ll keep the phone’s smokin’ tho for all the good it’ll do. Feinstein and Boxer are useless.
With ya heart and soul.
Have sent to some I know in DC, hope they can meet up with all or send in someone they know.
Be sure to get details of where to meet.
God Bless you all, stay safe.
I'm there too!
DrMike
It’s a great idea, am I’m with you all the way - in spirit.
(The problem organizing conservative protests is that most of us actually have jobs - unlike the Usurper’s Zombies.)
10 a.m. at Specter’s office, 711 Hart.
ping!
Pick a weekend I gotta save $$ for the Stimulus effects.
Bush used to have anti War kooks on the street outside the front of the Whitehouse, making noise and being loud . . . that’s a good location. . . and at the entrances of the buildings to the congressional offices.....Or ..do the Capitol steps thing.
The best thing anyone could do is to bring along a video camera and ask politicians questions about the plan. Then, upload the response to Youtube. Just make sure they’re good questions designed to reveal the flaws in the plan and not just rants. See this for some general tips:

Look forward to seeing you again, Jim! WooHoo!
I wish I could...but I’d show up with rotten eggs and get into bigtime trouble.
