Even as a young man, I refused to date or hang out with co-workers. Made it seem like I was at work all the time, so to speak.
Really? Well, you really DO know it all, Mr. Know It All, LOL!
If it gets to the point where there aren’t any jobs for even the most educated among us, then we’re all screwed.
Thank a pro-union Democrat. :)
If it gets to the point where there arent any jobs for even the most educated among us, then were all screwed. That's my point.
Thank a pro-union Democrat. :)We don't have any in Texas. I'm moving to MO soon (part of that "keeping my job" thing) — maybe they have them there.
Same here. It got to the point that I wouldn't even eat lunch with 'em. Either they all talked shop while we ate or some supervisor would come over and ask a technical question. To that last I replied that it was my lunch hour and would get back to him during working hours.
I had a dandy little Chinook camper I used to retire to and don't you know I had people come out and STILL ask me questions! I got a rep as being "anti-social" and "not a team player". Luckily I went into contracting (programming) and no one messed with me then.
Then it was discovered that they get 4 YEARS of 75% of their pay, full health benefits plus free tuition to go back to school to train in something else.

Only 4 years? What a rotten contract. It needs to be renegotiated to 10 years and 90% of pay. This is exactly what Obama is trying to get across. The common worker is getting screwed and this is a good example of it. /s
The generalization on this thread is disgusting. People and families are losing EVRERYTHING right now. This is terrible. Now lets go buy some more stuff made in China shall we.....
Well,if past behavior is the best indicator of future behavior-then I stand by my position on union types.

You’re very funny, Joan. You should post more often. :)
He done never askt me! If I lose my job tomorrow, I get paid for the few vacation days I’ve been hoarding and a, “See Ya!”
I know I’m not alone. But really, I couldn’t live with myself if I knew I was part of the problem and not part of the solution. But those that are part of the problem never KNOW they’re part of the problem, do they? ;)
