Michigan Senator Debbie Stabenow has said she wants to re-introduce the Fairness Doctrine.
So to be completely fair, we dont remember this story from the Detroit Free Press (April 2, 2008) getting too much coverage:
Thomas Athans, the husband of U.S. Sen. Debbie Stabenow and cofounder of a liberal talk radio network, told Troy police detectives that he paid a prostitute $150 for sex at a Troy hotel in late February, according to a police report obtained Wednesday by the Free Press under the Freedom of Information Act Athans was pulled over by police on I-75 minutes after leaving the Residence Inn on Livernois, just east of I-75 and south of Big Beaver, the evening of Feb. 26 When questioned during the stop, he acknowledged he had been at the hotel with a woman he met on the Internet. On further questioning, he acknowledged he had paid the woman $150 for oral sex.
He was pulled over south of Big Beaver?
Please supply your own punchline.
“It is not a town in Michigan.Big Beaver Road is in the city of Troy.It is essentially 16 Mile Rd. Farther east,it is called Metropolitan Parkway.”
See earlier post, I stand corrected—but I did not make up the rather ironically humorous name of the “location” of the arrest. :)
If you look in the comments section of the article now, you can now see the online ad of the prostitute how lured Athans in.

Sadly, the MSM media and “Fairness(Censor)Doctrine” crowd did not seem to mention EITHER story very much and did not note the ties to her husband’s Air America Job in their reporting of the Bill Press interview! So this thread is posted to point out the fact that:
MICHIGAN Senator has conflict-of-interest ties to Fairness Doctrine advocacy thru her scumbag HUSBAND’s ties to AIR AMERICA—Michigan voters need to let her know they know her number!
Fact that people find it humorous with reference to “Beaver” just increases its page views.
And my point was that the whole “hooker thing” may have been a planned incident to hide everything else.
After all, it worked for Clinton. Instead of being charged with perjury and obstruction of justice, all we ever heard about was Bill’s escapades with Monica.
Senator and Mr. Stubby could very well have thought that he wouldn’t get anything more than a slap on the wrist (and he didn’t, for being “cooperative” in getting the girl locked up), while they’re able to hide their corruption with the storm that the media will generate from this “sex scandal.”

<<I agree in theory that it could be clinton move, but the sex scandal is almost a year old and did not seem to generate much controversy, so seems to me it was buried. Also, who knows what promises were made to bury the story?! To whom?
Looks like Lindsey Lohan has a new career.
Funny stuff ping
Talk about a tail....
Wonder if Debbie is going to Bobbitize him.
Time to make the commie vampires fear us.
Gee, too bad it was oral. Had the impending baby been his, it could have been the first of a batch of Stabenows to end up in prison.
“I can see why he preferred the hooker to the wife”
I’ve seen his pic and can understand why he needs lots of cash. The words “Pillsbury,” “Dough,” and “Boy” come to mind.
