There are a lot of good threads about this topic (see below) and I wouldn't want to step on their great comments, but this is not just about seniors. This is about every person of any age with a life threatening illness. If you are a thirty year old woman and you develop a non-chemo sensitive tumor and have the genes that predispose you to breast cancer your life expectancy with treatment is only about 30% over 5 years. YOU WOULDN’T QUALIFY FOR TREATMENT BECAUSE OF THE COST VS LIFE EXPECTANCY RATIO THE BOARD WILL USE. And who is going to set that ratio? Is congress going to meddle in like they are meddling in every other aspect of our life? Will they have the power to raise or lower it? THIS IS ABOUT EVERYONE OF US NOT JUST SENIORS!! IT IS FOR ANY TREATMENT AT ANY AGE! Do not ignore the potential for the government to reach into our health care decisions for ourselves and...our...children.THIS IS NOT JUST ABOUT SENIORS

I wonder how many people who voted this abomination into office watched the “Dog and Pony” show last night. The Salesman in Chief has just gone for the close and those who are so dazzled by the “freebies” promised won’t even know what they’ve done to themselves.
It’s like the old saying, “Didn’t know his throat had been cut until he went to turn his head.” Like lambs to the slaughter. America, America this cannot happen, but I guess it must before the end comes. Maybe it will take parents who cannot save their beloved children or children who cannot save their beloved parents. Tell them to just “accept the inevitable and move on.”

Can anyone tell me how national health care, with its rationing of care, is any different than the Nazis singling out certain peoples for extermination? Except instead of actively shoving them into gas chambers the sick and the old are simply left to die without treatment. No difference as far as I can see. This is true of Canada, the UK and any other country that practices this BS.
Ask for the comment line and tell him to put pressure on Collins, Spector and Snowe.
These RINOS need to have pressure applied from all directions!
Not to mention Down's Syndrome children, people paralyzed in accidents(they have shorter life expectancies) etc.
At 23, I suffered from a rare, post-op complication, top brain surgeons had no clue as to what, why, how to deal, etc. At one point, I needed an MRI every week to watch what was going on, monitor, there was no way I could afford that. The head doc at the GE Research Lab in South San Francisco was a real human being, took pity on me and said if I would let myself be his *guinea pig* on his machines, he would let me have the MRI films for no charge. I was the first patient imaged on the Open MRI you hear about, the one with no sides, designed to allow those with claustrophobia to endure the procedure, just one instance.
We're at the beginning, people will be lucky to get an MRI if this goes through, let alone money put into research and development into new, better technology. God help the people who voted for this goob and his cadre, they had better do everything they can, hope to high heaven they never get sick.
AARP will go along with this, just like they support Hillary care. There membership did not support Hillary care but the AARP did. This will be the same. Anyone who sends any money to that organization is a fool.
Add in autistic kids too, of which there are many many more recently.
