Notice that Obama assumes McDonald’s doesn’t provide healthcare coverage. I’m sure they have to - for their full-time employees. And, at age 19, working for McD’s for 4 years isn’t so terrible. He’s still a teen, and he hasn’t finished college yet.
Maybe they changed the channel. When I saw the hands raised, praising I couldn’t watch. I hope it was a plant.

I still want to know why this guy needs major benefits when he’s a college student. I assume McDonald’s is his part time job while in school.
If he hustles, he could make manager at McDonald’s with good benefits, but I guess that would entail too much work. If he’s going to school, then go to school and shut up. You’ll get better benefits when you have a job that uses your education.
I’m sure he’s one of those economically ignorant idiots who think that big companies like McDonald’s have scads of money just sitting around that ought to go to the workers.
One reason I hate liberals is that they generally lack a basic understanding of economics and have a mindless hatred of business. It would be one thing if they kept their thoughts to themselves, but unfortunately, they get in power and we all suffer from their idiot economic policies.

I worked at TBELL and McD’S while going to college and sure did not consider it a career.
The bottom line is if you hope for more out of your life you are going to be severely disappointed.
You have to WANT more for your life and work towards goals that have meaning to you. Oh, and while you are at it you should take out an insurance policy and pray to God for Strength, direction and guidance and every day give thanks in advance for your success.

I didn’t know that. I thought all companies with more than a certain number of employees had to provide an insurance plan to their full-timers. I remember years ago a local fastfood place advertising $6/hour and full benefits including health insurance, but maybe it wasn’t McD’s.
In some states you might have to now. Of course McD’s actually owns very few McDonalds. Most of them are owned by franchise holders, usually a city big enough for more than one store will have more than one franchise holder.
A while ago when unemployment was low the fast food places were having a hard time getting employees in some areas. So they had to start offering better pay and benefits. Times do change, some of them might still be doing it. It’s all very regional.

I know a lot of people around here that would LOVE to have a job paying minimum wage and with benefits like McDonald’s has.

Seeing as a ballgame runs about 3 hours, he’ll make $8.33 an hour.

Many companies do provide them, but there is no requirement for them to do so.
There are people I know personally that would work for free if they could just get the benefits.

Of course, I bought all these things with CASH when I had a job (which I've still managed to keep). I think the problem isn't the Big Macs, Big Screens and PS/3s, but the fact that some people see these things as entitlements.
That is TOTALY disgusting. Funny-once, but an obnoxious habit; we're supposed to be better than that. I really wish some of the "Conservative" boys...ugh,I mean men...around here would grow up.
Nothing wrong with us admiring a piece of fluff-brained eye candy, any more than the the women can't admire a hunk of beef jerky, but they don't have to drool all over my screen.

That was my thought too. Then it occurred to me it might be a good strategy for conservatives to infiltrate these 0bamassiah love fests with similar over the top performances. Push the adulation factor until 0bama is the biggest joke in America.
