Striking An Effective Blow Against Tyranny
Self | 11 February 2009 | Windflier

Posted on 02/11/2009 2:53:09 PM PST by Windflier

Fellow Patriots,

Obama and his Socialist Democrats have truly thrown down the gauntlet with their Trillion Dollar "Stimulus" bill. The Democrats are going for broke to move America into a condition of permanent Socialism. Next stop: full blown Marxism / Communism.

I've become convinced that we citizens no longer have true representation in our government, and our votes aren't making much of a difference, either.

No one in Washington is listening to what We The People need and want any longer.

The Socialist Democrats and RINOs now in power are only interested in solidifying their power base and their complete control over our existence. They will ignore or destroy the US Constitution to achieve their aims, if necessary.

We The People must do something now to effectively stop, or to at least slow the ongoing process unfolding before our eyes. To say that we will lose our country if we do nothing, is no longer frightened rhetoric in my opinion.

Short of armed insurrection, there's only one other effective way that I can think of to put the brakes on this madness, and that is a widespread tax revolt.

Why should the hard working, tax paying, law abiding members of this country pay the lawless usurpers in our government to enslave them, and their children? Answer: they shouldn't.

Our country's first form of protest against the suppression of Great Britain was a tax revolt. The Boston Tea Party was the ignition point that got the American people on their feet, and galvanized them to fight back against the real tyranny of the time.

It's my opinion that we need to repeat that very effective protest now. Here is my concept for striking an effective blow against the encroaching and real tyranny we face...

We need at least Ten Million Americans to commit to simultaneously stop paying all federal taxes. It has to be a number that large to ensure the safety of all who join the effort. The government is large, but they don't have the power or the resources to prosecute ten million tax resisters.

I would like to get a website up where people can read about the tax revolt and the reasoning behind it.

The site should have a place where each person who agrees to join the revolt can anonymously sign a pledge to stop paying federal taxes, once we reach the ten million mark.

A person would simply check a box (similar to an online poll), indicating their agreement to join the tax revolt.

The site should have a counter prominently displayed, keeping track of how many people have joined the tax revolt.

The site should have a forum to stimulate discussion about the tax revolt and the myriad reasons for it. This will also encourage a great many people to join the revolt, when they can read the thoughts of other patriots.

The site should also link to other like-minded patriotic websites and forums.

When the ten million mark is reached, the announcement to begin the tax revolt will be posted large on the front page of the site. On that day, ten million (or more) Americans will cease submitting to the extortion of their hard earned money by the Socialist usurpers in Washington.

There is strength in numbers. People will find the bravery to do this, if they see that millions of their fellow Americans are ready, willing, and committed to fight back.

I've been floating this idea on conservative discussion forums for many months now, and have gotten nothing but positive feedback about the idea.

Apparently, there are millions of Americans who want to do something effective to fight back, but don't have a ready answer as to what they can personally do. Many also have the spirit to fight, but don't see any organized resistance that they can join.

Someone's got to start the ball rolling. I think that this is an idea that will work. It could snowball into a full-scale tax revolt on the part of the American people, if it's simply launched.

As I said, short of armed insurrection, I can't think of anything more effective that the American people can do to get the government's attention, and which can put The People back in the driver's seat where they belong.

Naturally, there are a lot of things to think through before putting up such a website. I don't want to try to cover them all here, but I'm sure you've already thought of a few. They do need to be discussed and resolved.

Please let me know what you think of the basic concept, and what your thoughts are regarding the construction and maintenance of the website.

Your fellow patriot, Windflier

Starve the beast - Turtle Out!

Judging from the number of liberals who by party affiliation are allies with the UAW yet drive foreign built cars, I suspect many were doing this during the Bush years.

You can sign up on a new W-4 for 9 deductions.

If you put the money aside in a separate account—or save it at home in cash is even better—you slow to a dribble the amount of tax money that flows regularly into the IRS from weekly payroll with-holding

Say you have 20 employees in a company.
Say that under current paychecks, the weekly payroll deposit was $3000 just for Fed with-holding.
If everyone drops their W-4 to 9 exemptions—perfectly legal—the irs Fed with-holding deposit weekly would probably drop to no more than $300 or so. I would have to see each paycheck and do the math.

But you get the idea. Drastically cut the flow of money into the IRS, and someone will get a message real quick.

you- the employee—must set aside the difference yourself and be careful about it, so that when you have to file your taxes you have the money.
On the other hand-—send in your tax return—but send NO money. Tell them why, and send an accompanying letter with information to your representatives.

Wait until you see the whites of their eyes. Every conservative wants to be proactive, to jump into the fray, to fight or just do something to take back our country! But sometimes it's better to lie in wait and let our enemies make the first, crucial mistake.

In effect, they already have. 70 years of creeping socialism was accelerated by Carter's CRA, then Clinton's expansion and judicial extortion. The victims used Fannie/Freddie as a release valve to offload their risk, the market thieves smelled blood and went into high gear with CDO/CDS, and the rest is history.

Parasitic socialism needs a healthy host in which to prey. Once the host falls ill or dies, the parasite itself is finished. If you understand numbers, you know the whole facade's days are numbered. Don't act rashly and make yourself known. Hide in the shadows and act when events begin to spiral out of control. You'll know what to do.

If we can get 10 million people by April 15, for the federal returns first year of zer0’s admin., we could at least, for the squeamish..withhold them for a time period.

Let them see how a total refusal would hurt them.

Or is that just chicken?”

It is a great idea-—the Feds depend on the landslide of money they get on April 15. Now you have about 65 days to get this organized.

However, be warned that if you claim more than 9, your employer is required to submit a copy of the W-4 to the IRS with their quarterly payroll tax return.

When I was doing large payrolls, the W-4 had to be sent to IRS within 10 days by the employer.

Don’t worry. He’s not going to be a fuhrer for life. He’ll be lucky to get through his first term. He didn’t exactly win in a landslide. Freakin’ McCain got 47 million votes - and that’s without all of our people turning out and without any positive press coverage and an unpopular outgoing President. When all of those democrats from PA, OH and the rest of the heartland who voted for Obama don’t get their jobs and are disappointed with their lousy tax cut, we’ll be in. Just be patient. The tide is turning and he’s only been in for 3 weeks.

What if a few million Americans filed returns in the name “Tim Geitner”. All with an income around $400,000 and a Zero tax liability, of course.

I understand the sentiment but if 90% of Americans think cheating on your taxes is wrong how is this a good strategy?
How can the GOP or Conservatives attack those who don't pay their taxes if the advocate doing the same thing?

If, for example, Rush said this was the end as we know it, and encouraged his 20 million listeners to do it.... it would be done. Also may be his last day on the air (scary, but admit it, it’s probably true)

If everyone pays nothing or as little as possible let them try to find the money to pay for 'their tax cuts for 95% of the people' (which is a damn lie)!

Maximize deductions, file numerious extensions so you pay as late as possible. Cut back spending where possible, use bartering for goods and work for cash when you can.

It's time to let government know...

We do NOT Consent!

Try to understand that this isn't a revolt against taxes.

This is a revolt against tyranny. Withholding extortion payments to the tyrants is a means to an end.

Now, that is an excellent idea! Clog the system, if nothing else, and make a very public point at the same time.

I just hope that our republic can survive the remaining 101 weeks until the 2010 congressional vote brings in a different congress.

Darn it, Semantic, I'd much rather do that, but I don't have the certainty that we've got that long, or that "the moment" isn't really upon us right now.

I fear that the longer we "wait to see the whites of their eyes", the more danger we're putting ourselves in.

It just seems that our side has been mute and motionless for far too long, and that we're reaping the effects of that inactivity now.

This solution is one of the most popular, and I can see it happening across the country soon, without much prodding, or organization.

Lots of folks have told me that they're already doing this.

Whether organized or not, it appears that there's massive agreement setting in, that we need to pull back on what we send to the Treasury.

Obviously, most of this is being done out of personal necessity, and not for reasons of forcing Washington to heel to The People's authority, but it may have the same affect.

It amazes me how much noise is expended on TV every day about how to “save” our system, or “rescue” the banks, or how this is a “great time to buy stocks”. People really have no idea what is coming, very soon. It is more dire and devastating than they could ever imagine. We won’t recover for more than 10 years. America and the world will never be the same.

There's no need for a tax revolt. In fact, there's no need to take any affirmative actions directed towards attacking the root of the system at all, such as forgoing non-vital consumption, limiting/discontinuing credit utilization, etc.

The reason is really quite simple: with or without the 'stimulus' package, total GDP is going to contract a minimum of about 10-15%. This means that unemployment is going to hit somewhere in the neighborhood of 20%.

So, put it all together. Unemployed people who are operating in the black/gray (cash/barter) market economies just to get by day-day neither report nor pay taxes. Of course, they have limited or no credit, so non-essential consumption goes out the door as well. To cap it off, they increase service demands on the state for things like UI, housing, food, medical, etc.

Do you see the picture? Without doing a dang thing, we're gonna see huge shortfalls in tax receipts (income, sales & property) combined with skyrocketing demands for support. No state can take this 1-2 punch, including the US. This is why Hussein's economic team is frantically trying to reignite the FIRE economy via spending bills and banking bailout provisions. But it is all to naught.

Our socialist country is simply not going to have the sufficient financing to fund the welfare state. No payments, no peace. And it isn't going to be conservatives doing the rioting. Just sit back, watch & prepare. Don't make yourself a target via illegal tax evasion. Events brewing for over 70 years have been set in motion, and there is no stopping the end game from being played out.

GREAT POST. I highlighted the whole thing, because it's one of the most accurate descriptions of what is going on. California is the canary in the cat house.

Still, you are forecasting total collapse. How do you prepare for that. Fully paid for house in small town, lots of extra staples, a garden, lots of seeds. Gold and sliver in a coffee can.

The left will go crazy in the end game.

I have cigars once a week with five or six guys. One is a total leftist. I can't help myself. All I do is ask him: so, who's going to pay for the $20 Trillion Obama debt? You? Me? His answers show what the left will be calling for: "We need tarrifs". Well if we piss off the Chinese they aren't going to buy our bonds, are they. In fact they might sell the $1 Trillion they hold already drivng the price down (& yeild up, meaning more money needed by FedGov to just tread water).

I point out that not just Cali, but Oregon and Washington are all VERY broke and are going to HAVE to cut down the stupid welfare state.

He is upset, but has no answer. Leaves early.

Because these people have no real education, only Howard Zinn left-propaganda filling their tiny brains they will lash out when it's clear they are failing. Expect massive scapegoating of the right and all manner of left-thuggism: Gun Bans, Gold confiscation, salary caps, massive taxes, etc.

They are spoiled children. They will turn over the board rather than lose the game.

We have to be able to suvive, thrive and revive (our Constitutional Republic) in that atmosphere, or we will end up as road kill.

Thanks for such a great post.
