A Tucson, Arizona homeowner alerted of an impending home invasion by his security cameras, armed himself and took matters into his hands when four armed suspects attempted to break into his home last week.
In the surveillance video you see a vehicle pull up, and four men run out.
One of them is carrying what appears to be an AR-15 or M-16, a weapon which could be fully automatic.
The robbery happened in broad daylight.
All the action was caught by the homeowners outdoor surveillance system.
The victim was able to get back inside his house, close his door, semi barricade it, reach for a weapon that was easily accessible, said Pima County Sheriffs Deputy Earl Gieron.
The homeowner shot at the suspects.
He even put a bullet through the windshield of the suspects car, which is also caught on camera.
The four men retreated and took off....
People living in the neighborhood heard all the gunshots, and saw the aftermath....
Lawrence Cruz lives down the street from where the attempted home invasion happened.
I am very watchful where we live and I think everybody has right to defend their property, said Cruz.
Detectives did find the suspects vehicle, but the four men are still on the run.
One of the suspects has been identified as 23-year-old Jesus Mendivil.
Its believed he was shot in the arm.
The three other men are all described as Hispanic males between 17 and 25-years-old.

They were Cub Scouts.......
Say ello to my leetle frein.
Likely...Hard to imagine it's a random attack in an upper class neighborhood.
These cockroaches thought they were really cool, until the homeowner victim started opening up on their asses.
I’d pay two bucks to get audio of these CS’s when their windshield was being hit as they fumbling for the keys.
Home security cameras are extremely handy.
Looks like they crapped their pants. LOL!
And that is why they prefer unarmed victims.
It’s still disturbing that they attempted a robbery, during the day, with weaponry such as described.
You usually expect a couple of dudes sneaking in at night, one of them has a .38.
If there was justice, they would be killed when they are found.
No way these punks will ever contribute anything to society.
Can anyone imagine the outcome of this if the homeowner had not had a gun?
Not sure this was sarcasm or not, but this area (Houston and surrounding areas) is seeing home invasions in all classes of neighborhoods.
Couldn’t tell if the perps fired at all?
I’d be ashamed of missing 4 targets too cowardly to stand and fire.
The barricaded homeowner victim had only seconds to react, after seeing his video, and probably only had one small port to fire from.
“described as Hispanic males between “
What’s up with the word “Hispanic” in bold letters?
bump
Wait, I have a gun in this locked box!
Wait, I have a gun in this locked box!
Bush’s fault? Give it up, Olbermann.
I still really, really love happy endings.
