Let's Brainstorm Ideas for Economic Warfare Against the Libs [Vanity]
12 Feb 2009 | Titus Quinctius Cincinnatus

Hi all,

I'm posting this under News/Activism because I'm intending for this to be a brainstorming session about activism - activism with regards to how we, as conservatives, can limit or even end our support for the corrupt, kleptocratic, elitist system we see in our country's government. We have a government that is definitely NOT "of the people, by the people, for the people." Instead, we have a government dominated by left-wing socialists and their RINO lackeys which is in the process of passing a massive pork-spending bill which the people have clearly said they don't want. But the politicians don't care. Unfortunately, there aren't enough "good" politicians - truly conservative - in Washington to be able to mount a serious effort to stop it.

So, what can we the people do about it?

Let's hear some ideas about *real* civil disobedience and other ways we can throw sand in the gears, and create enough of a ruckus that "they" will HAVE to listen to us. I'm talking legal stuff here - nothing about not paying your taxes (and before you start in with the "income tax is voluntary" line, you try to not paying them and see how voluntary it really is), vandalising gov't buildings, etc.

One idea I'd have, expanding on some things floated on FR yesterday: Economic warfare. Don't spend any more than you have to in Blue states or Blue counties. I realise that this may be difficult or even impossible for some FReepers, but for those of us that it is not, we can help cut into the income-by-stealing of Democrat counties.

My family will be buying our groceries across the border in a Red county. I'm going to buy my gas in the county I work in (Red) instead of the one I live in (Blue). Any big ticket items will be bought over the internet, out of state, with no sales tax. No more fast food in Blue counties. No more spending on either luxuries or necessities in Blue counties, as much as we possibly can. My clothing will be bought in a tax free thrift shop, and I'm going to be hitting Ebay, Amazon, and Craigslist for many items, instead of buying them from a big-box store. It's still legal (so far) for you to decide *where* you're going to spend your money, so let's spend it, as much as we can, in places that did not go for Obama (shoot, you may end up saving money b/c of lower sales taxes anywise!)

Any ideas people would like to throw out there, or even reasons why this all would NOT be a good idea?

If you haven't already done so, I'd say pay as little in taxes as humanly possible. I mean, EVERYTHING: I used to blow off some deductions. Not this year. I'm pulling a Clinton and claiming underwear.

Second, I think the times call for us to be rather punitive. No more charitable giving. Sorry, people need to SEE that if they want the government to provide for them, it absolutely cannot. The woman who gave that bleeding heart the house after the Elkhart town meeting---she absolutely did the wrong thing. That lib will now credit OBAMA for what a REPUBLICAN did. No more.

Don’t shop at Costco, as they support the rats. Shop at eeeevil Walmart instead, same prices, not yearly fee.

hmmm...even though I live in the blue state of NY, I do live in a red county.

It would be nice to set up a list of targets to eliminate from office - the worst and most vulnerable dems along with RINOs so we can donate to their opponenets.

If you are eligible for any ‘freebies’ take them. Bankrupt the system.

I’m wondering what us small retailers can do.

Come April about a third of my biz is going to slowly drop off, I suspect, because of the asinine cig tax-my customers here in this perpetual economically challenged region cannot afford it, neither can I. (my wholesalers don’t give me that much of a break with tobacco products.)
On a personal level I intend to stop smoking, to me it’s a patriotic act...funny how that has become the only convincing reason to quit for me.

I see no reason why a LOT more investigation of public records cannot take place. It’s fairly easy to see who has not paid taxes, etc....

Let’s go after the corruption of these politicians.

The woman who gave that bleeding heart the house after the Elkhart town meeting---she absolutely did the wrong thing.

The woman (Henrietta) was at the Ft. Myers town meeting. And I think the person who gave her the house did the right thing. It was a private donation. Government had nothing to do with it.

If O tries to take credit for it, he will invite much, much more of the same.

From here on out, any time O has a town meeting or appearance of any kind, it will be swamped by the "gimme" crowd. There will be people (I daresay many will be FReepers or other conservatives - hehe) carrying big signs, "Please help. I need a car/house/medical care/job/benefits/food/Viagra..." The display will make people sick and drive the point home that Obama supporters are greedy, self centered government leeches.

We should be going on liberal websites complaining that Henrietta got a house and we have nothing. When is Obama going to help the rest of us out here.

Poor Henrietta opened up the door to a whole propaganda movement.

File an extension to delay filing your tax returnthis year.

Up your W-4 deductions, if W-4s will do anything for you.

Make sure you DO NOT overwithhold.

Do you mean you want us to fight
GOVERNMENT OF THE GOVERNMENT,FOR THE GOVERNMENT AND BY THE GOVERNMENT?
I was fond of GOVERNMENT of, by and for the PEOPLE.
Please specify. (Like I wonder which)

The play book has already been created by the left:

The rules for Radicals by Saul Alinsky

Lets take their playbook and use it on them

Reality is staring us in the face -conservatives and free market supporters are NOW the radicals.....

Flame away......

Vacation in red states as well and tell the folks when you’re there that you came to their state because they are a conservative state.

I don’t agree with withholding charitable contributions. That’s the way people SHOULD be helped - not through government.

++++”Don’t shop at Costco,” ++++

Go to www.afa.net and find the companies that support gays and far left radicals. These are some of the companies I used to buy from now I stopped:

-Pepsi...HUGE gay supporters.
-All movies. I buy them used and DO NOT go to the theaters unless it’s a movie produced by Christians or conservatives.
-Apple and Google. I know this is hard as Microsoft also is sleazy. However, Google and Apple actually fought against the very people that support them (regarding Prop 8)
-Staples, Barnes and Noble, CVS, Borders, Whole foods as these groups are anti-Christmas and support abortions.

The list goes on!
I’d love to cheat on my taxes, but I must follow Jesus’ instructions, even if I think it’s unfair. Sorry, but I don’t want to try to defend my actions when I am standing before God! That ain’t gonna’ fly...
