Robert Gibbs, the White House press spokesman, said Gregg "was very clear throughout the interviewing process that despite past disagreements about policies, he would support, embrace, and move forward with the president's agenda".
"Once it became clear after his nomination that Senator Gregg was not going to be supporting some of President Obama's key economic priorities, it became necessary for Senator Gregg and the Obama administration to part ways."

on an related note, Senator Arlen Spinchter after being wined and dined at the White house by President Barry has agreed to take the commerce secretary post. Said Spinchter, “I’m going to bend over and do everything he wants in the Senate anyways so I might as well get a cabinent promotion to better “service” the President”...

I’d like to see BHO disclose his views and philosophy to the American people in as much detail as he disclosed them to Gregg behind closed doors!
Come clean BHO and provide us with a copy of the long form of your birth certificate while you’re at it, not the certificate of live birth you thought we’d accept as “proof” of your U.S. citizenship.

I can only imagine it was like me going to a NOW meeting - it must have been even more repulsive when it was brought home to him that it was a simple maqneuver to get a Repub into the cabinet and then move the census to the White House, making him cheaply bought window dressing...
