Thousands of kids detailed their hopes and expectations for President Barack Obama in letters and drawings as part of a worldwide project, with 150 chosen for a free e-book being released on Presidents Day.
Most had tall orders for the new guy in the White House.
Anthony Pape, 10, of Du Bois, Pa., offered: "I hope that we will have no war ever again. I mean why are we fighting why can't we all be friends."
Fellow 10-year-old Sasha Townsend of Soquel, Calif., had a similar request, and then some.

It’s hard to believe these words were uttered by grade school kids. They talk just like our college students!

My kids would be asking him not to get rid of missile defense or nuclear weapons. They would ask him to get rid of illegal immigrants. They would ask him to stop abortions and to keep marriage between a man a woman.
My kids are conservative!!!!!!!
Best post of the day! BHO is the product of a generation change in our educational system. It s the school of indoctrination for future Hussein voters. The GOP have been completely asleep at the switch for not challenging this.

Sounds like my kids! Dr. Mr. Obama: Stop letting people kill babies and stop wasting money.
Make sure they don’t attend public schools. They will be indoctrinated with your tax dollars to turn against all things and people conservative and religious.
With the majority of congress being a democrat majority, I can’t see this happening.

Because child, there are things worse than war. The idealists or dupes of the Left will never understand this.
Yep, little Anthony, it’s good to dream of world peace. But there are bad people in the world. And some of those bad guys started a war with us. They started it, we didn’t. We are not wrong for defending ourselves.
Well you can keep trying, but it just shows unbelief. Isn't it strange that the writers of the Bible knew a little strip of land in the ME would be the stumbling block for the world thousands of years ago? Why not Panama, Madagascar, or India? It had to be Israel. It is Israel. It will be Israel. It will be Jerusalem. It will be the Mt of Olives. To pretend a man will bring peace, is anti Christ.
How damaged are these children going to be when they find Obama can't make it rain candy, get their father a job, or stop wars? It is irresponsible to promote these myths in the classroom. The teachers should be removed. Did the teachers teach that Bush stopped the candy from raining?
Wouldn’t it be nice if someone sat these tykes down with the Constitution, and acquainted them with the actual powers, and NON-powers, of the President, Congress, and Supreme Court.
Do you realize that a 9-year-old has possibly NEVER seen video of 9/11? Or even been told anything about what happened that day—let alone who caused it.
The most salutary, productive, patriotic thing that Americans could possibly do to forestall the destruction of the United States would be to gather in large groups, with accelerants and matches, go to their local government schools, and...I will stop here so that this comment won’t get pulled.
Actually, public school drove them to their conservative views. My son was in public school for 6 years, and now he is in a private Christian high school. I didn’t realize how much he hated the public school until this year.
My daughters left public school after 3rd grade. I knew how much they hated it.
In public school, my son had to write an essay about whether or not everyone should go to college. I had never talked to him about the subject, so it was all his own opinion. It was the most conservative viewpoint. He said that some kids don’t deserve to go to college because they don’t even try to get good grades. Basically, only kids who work for college should get to go. I need to go find his essay because it was great.
