President Barack Obama is refusing to be rushed into his first decision to send troops into combat, an early sign he may be more independent-minded than U.S. military leaders expected.

My, that's certainly a rosy way of looking at it.

There's nothing as refreshing as a military leader who can't make a decision quickly. I think it was Gen Eisenhower that said, "When in doubt, hide under your desk until the danger has passed."

What? He never said that? That's just further proof that Obama is a better military leader than any before.

Someone correct me if I’m wrong, but I thought I heard that there was nothing for the military in the spending bill. Of course, how many people other than Pelosi and Reid (and their staffers) know whats in this POS?

Bob Beckel was on fox this morning, he said.........Obama can't sign the bill until tuesday, because even though it passed, its not fully written yet

Thats right the damn thing is not even written but its passed!

The congressional and senate staffers, will fill in the details..we are screwed.

Political is actually a useful tool for the useless Left. Politico tries to hold a center-left position and maintain some credibility with the center-right, it is a joke. Read the comments and you will see the real audience that is reflective of this crappy site.

we need to be starting right now to figure out how we turn things around.

He will turn it round all by himself. Just give him enough rope, and a little time. He has already dissed much of the media with his favoritism.

We hang on tight and stay true to ourselves. Obama is a disgrace. That speaks volumes for those who voted for him.

You are correct! Cannot believe the people that want to throw in the towel with the sky is falling. Only way to fight is to win elections and wringing hands is not going to get one person elected. We stand up for what we believe and we move ahead. We are going to lose a lot of battles in the next two years but we can win the war which is what counts. Our guys in the house did a great job of uniting and that's what we need to do across the board to get good ethical and honest candidates elected.

It is so important with the census coming up that we take Governor's offices and state legislatures. At all levels we need good candidates that can give a clear vision of what they believe so voters can understand. You hit people's pocketbooks, and they are going to get angrier and angrier with all the give-aways to banks, car manufacturers, ACORN, etc. We have tailor made issues and need to use them. There has been an acronym floating around for years -- KISS (Keep It Simple Stupid) and that is what we need to do. Throwing all kinds of issues at the electorate is not going to win elections. Concentrating on several will win. One winning issue in my state is how ZERO has nothing for small business which is the backbone of Oklahoma. We need candidates that can take up the cause of small business as they are the ones that will create the most jobs. Lot of issues but we keep them to a minimum to win back state legislatures we have lost and keep the ones we have and make 2010 a Republican year across the board to prepare for 2012.

Obama is very much like lincoln, he just won’t admit why the similarities exist.

1. He care nothing about the rule of law nor the constitution. Habius Corpus was basically suspended from day one of his presidency.

2. He’s leading a war that is fracturing the states and pitting American against American. Social warfare; a role Obama perfected during his tenure as a community activist.

3. Obama will only use the military when it is politically expedient, for the administration and liberal causes. It is not hard to see Obama using the power of the government to take over private industry, using force if necessary to accomplish this goal I also have no doubts he would use force, via the military, FBI, CIA, IRS etc, to squelch any form of organized protests against his policies and/or administration.

4. While claiming to boost up those on the lower end of the socioeconomic ladder and freeing them from the bondage evil corporations and rich people have kept them under, he’s placing more people into slavery, living on Plantation Welfare.

It’s amazing how similar he is to Lincoln, don’t you think?
