THE idea that a preservative once used in vaccines is to blame for rising autism rates has just been authoritatively debunked - again. Indeed, some of the key early "evidence" now stands exposed as fake.

Sadly, none of this will kill this myth - because it was never based on good science.

Blaming and abortion which is by choice is hardly blaming the abortion - it is a choice by a human being.

Speaking of abortion there are credible studies that link abortion to breast cancer. I think these studies should help women be more responsible for their actions because consequences are severe in some cases ... .

I am seriously beginning to wonder about the control on flu shots. Here in Macomb county MI, I will tell you that tons of people have gotten sick after flu shots. Maybe it’s been luck of the draw.

My family does just fine without the shot. My girls don’t go to school, I don’t work and Dad only goes to one job. We don’t need them.

YES....you and I (older than 55) got a FEW shots....kids these days are loaded up....and...at a young age....it can’t always be good. I can see why parents protest.

I agree...Many of the childhood sicknesses and diseases (measles, whooping cough, etc.) we faced during my childhood the kids of today don’t face.

I remember the polio outbreaks of the 40’s and 50’s, they were scary and most people knew of someone who contracted it, what a godsend the Salk vaccine was.

--as an aside to this, but along the same line vis-a-vis "government" studies, while in Wisconsin a few years ago, the results of a "study" the state had commissioned to find elder abuse were announced , which of course indicated that it was rampant.

Anyone alive in the early 50’s will understand what a relief it was to finally have an effective polio vaccine.

A trip to any old cemetery will show how many children never made it into adulthood due to diseases we hardly think about because of vaccines.

But statements have been made that when they combined many vaccines together, that’s where the problem came in.

What problem? There is no problem. There is no evidence that combining vaccines into one injection somehow makes them more dangerous.

Human Papillomavirus (HPV)

Disease:

HPV is a common virus. HPV is most common in people in their teens and early 20s. It is the major cause of cervical cancer in women.

Vaccine:

HPV vaccine protects against the types of HPV that most commonly cause cervical cancer and genital warts. This vaccine is recommended for 11 and 12 year old girls. Ideally girls should get 3 doses of this vaccine before their first sexual contact when they could be exposed to HPV. If your teenage daughter missed getting the vaccine when she was 11 or 12, ask her doctor about getting it now.

This is a condition contracted by sexually permissive girls. Believe it or not, all young girls are NOT whores.

My opinion on vaccine is directly related to the danger and contagiousness of the disease. For something like polio (or smallpox if it was still in the wild) I'd fight my way to the front of the line to get myself or loved ones the vaccine. I have a picture of a polio ward with rows of children in iron lungs I post on the occasional anti-vaccine thread. For a minor, annoying disease like chicken pox I wonder if it is worth the risk.

I still haven't figured out why vaccines are delivered in general use, shared vials intead of sealed single use vials packed at the factory. Maybe even produce the syringe full at the factory. That way you don't have to use a chemical with mercury in it to prevent bacterial or fungal growth in the vial.

Then you must have an allergy to egg albumen. Because the scenario you are describing is impossible.

Current research has debunked the vaccine-autism urban legend. However, if an unvaccinated pregnant woman catches measles or certain other viral illnesses, the baby can be born severely mentally retarded.

If someone wants to take a real risk to avoid an imaginary risk, then they should know the score.

I suspect the poster meant Gardasil, which will prevent many cases of cervical cancer as well as vaginal, vulvar, anal and head and neck cancers.
