Hey Waxman, I’ve got your oversight right here.

People such as Waxman don't want freedom of speech or anything that might inter-fer with their desire for total control over the people. They are nothing more than tyrants and dictators. At what point will the American people rise up and take back their government?

"Guard with jealous attention the public liberty. Suspect every one who approaches that jewel. Unfortunately, nothing will preserve it but downright force. When you give up that force, you are ruined."

— Patrick Henry

"If someone is so fearful that they are going to start using their weapons to protect their rights, it makes me very nervous that these people have weapons at all."

— Rep. Henry Waxman

This is really frightening crypto-communist bullspit. Obama is a coward, and living up to the legacy of Castro, Hitler and Stalin if he continues down the path of legally stifling dissent. This whole fairness thing is a lie, a ruse to shut down the opposition because they cannot answer to it. Using the government to aggrandize their own political power, and entrench themselves.

How about NPR - last time I checked it was still RED, and fully funded by tax dollars.

What about the universities that are accepting public money - are the political views too one sided. Are these universities living up to the public good? I think not, in fact they are completely left wing without the slightest hint of “fairness”. I think the doctrine applies and the American public should get fairness for its tax dollars. Change the professors, and let’s get diversity of views.

I am curious to see how Waxman intends on shutting down the Internet - he is playing with dynamite to keep his party in power. This jughead has to go.

“Does one heavily trafficked Internet site present one side of an issue and not link to sites that present alternative views? These are some of the questions the chairman is thinking about right now, and we are going to have an FCC that will finally have the people in place to answer them.”

By god he’s talking about the DU and MoveOn. Wonder how they’ll feel being regulated.

The internet is part of the town square.

This should go before the Supremes as soon as it is possible. No sense messing around with it. Throw it into their laps immediately after enacted.

On the flip side, I find it slightly amusing that Rat sites like KOS, DU, and the Huff Post would be compelled under force of law to link to Conservative sites like Free Republic, Hot Air, and Red State.

Oh wait...silly me...they would be exempted under Waxman's legislation and only Conservative sites would be applicable.

Doh!

See you all in the gulags---I get first dibs on a bottom bunk.

It would be ironic if the law required Freerepublic to post full copies of articles from the LA Times and Washington Post.

Here are my thoughts on this subject.

We're now getting into knives and pitchforks territory here. Apparently this clown from California doesn't seem to have any real concept of what the first amendment is all about.

The first amendment is very clear.CONGRESS SHALL MAKE NO LAW ABRIDGING THE FREEDOM OF SPEECH!!!!!!!What problem does this clown with our rights as American citizens to blow the whistle on Hussein and his cabal.

And I would say to those who live in Waxman's district. Is this the best you can do for a representative????!!!??? I didn't know that part of the country had some many blockheads.

It doesn't surprise me one bit though. California is always well known for clowns and goonies like Waxman!!!!!!

Regards
