I wonder what’s up with the Feds not allowing him to give interviews for a month? Sounds fishy to me.

Thank you President Bush for correcting this horrible injustice. (Even if you were 2 years late.)

Sorry..meant to say ISN’T instead of is!! Either way...it WASN’T. Good luck to their families and may they live with their heads held high knowing we were all for them and NOT for the perps. This is a very dark mark on our justice system or I should say a darker mark. There are lots of dark marks and moments involved in our justice system and it is getting worse. We wish them well with health, happiness, love and the FREEDOM they deserve living in this country!!!

Think possibly they want to wait for the news to become stale on the back page? Let’s not give an opportunity for the ‘people’ to be upset?
imo Bush should have pardoned both of these guys and Libbey. jmo but I can have those opinions now with out going to jail or being fined.......soon maybe not.
Take care

"I hope they sue the pants off of Bushs good buddy Johnny Sutton."
I don't think they have a legal leg to stand on. Commuted means they get out of prison, but under the eyes of the law, they are still guilty. Just don't have to serve the full term.
To: ozark hilljilly
"Can you imagine the anger and righteous indignation that this poor guy just wants to get off his chest?"
I wouldn't get that anger off my chest in a public interview if I were them. I think they are still trying to work on getting a pardon. That wouldn't help their cause. Maybe if they came out and said they were against the Iraq war, hate Haliburton and Blackwater and Cheney was part of a conspiracy to knock down the world trade center towers, that might help.

What he did was give them the opportunity as free men to appeal and clear their name without a pardon. In the end this may work out for the best.

For the most part, I agree with you. However, there was bi-partisan support for their commutation/pardon in the Senate. Since Johnny Sutton is a buddy of Bush, dumbocrat Congressman could see this as a way to slap Bush in the face. Also, in 2012 if it's President Palin (I hope!! I hope!!) I could definitely see her pardoning them. It's better late than never.
