In his first weeks in office, President Barack Obama shut down his predecessor’s system for reviewing regulations, realigned and expanded two key White House policymaking bodies and extended economic sanctions against parties to the conflict in the African nation of Cote D’Ivoire.

Despite the intense scrutiny a president gets just after the inauguration, Obama managed to take all these actions with nary a mention from the White House press corps.

The moves escaped notice because they were never announced by the White House Press Office and were never placed on the White House web site.

They came to light only because the official paperwork was transmitted to the Federal Register, a dense daily compendium of regulatory actions and other formal notices prepared by the National Archives. They were published there several days after the fact.

A Politico review of Federal Register issuances since Obama took office found three executive orders, one presidential memorandum, one presidential notice, and one proclamation that went unannounced by the White House.

The scope is he is the most transparent liar we have ever had. He said everything would be visible, but EVERYTHING has been hidden and they say, its only been a couple of weeks, give him a break. This isn't something new he had to start up. All he had to do is keep it going, but he stopped it. Just like NOBODY read or even got to see the stimulus package, the largest expenditure in the world, but was required to vote for it. Also he said he would go line by line through each bill to cut out what didn't work. Needless to say, he didn't go line by line.

I have been looking at Biden (grumpy frumpy face) who has been in alot of media as the guy standing behind Obama when he is on the road.

It struck me he looks like someong familiar and I found his look alike minus the hair plugs.

I had a feeling he was paying lip service to the “transparency” because so many believed it, because “he said it” and so no one would actually go check to see if he was lying.

Just a curious note. Obama and his team sure seemed very ‘prepared’ to make these ‘complicated’ executive orders within hours/day of his inauguration.

Yet...his administration keeps stalling about specific ‘plans’ to deal with the banking crisis and ‘specific’ plans on the Gitmo detainees? We are suppose to believe that Pelosi wrote the porkulus bill?

I don’t think so.

You can bet your last dollar they already have plans. BIG PLANS. Plans they know are not going to go over well in this country. There will be nothing ‘transparent’ in his administration....This(along with the porkulus bill) PROVES IT!

This is NOT accidental. The policy changes were immediate and deliberate.

Also, it fits in with his past behavior. After all, he has hidden ALL of his records for his entire life, including all of the records of his time spent in the Illinois legislature. As far as I know, that is unprecedented, and God knows how he managed to deep six all of those records.

One further, significant question. Those guys he has sanctioned in the Cote d’Ivoir. Are they Christian members of the government, or are they Muslim rebels. I haven’t kept up with doings in the Ivory Coast in recent years, but when the trouble started it was Muslim invaders from neighboring countries stirring up a revolt against a Christian government. And the French, typically, intervened by taking the side of the Muslim invaders.

Does that sound familiar? Kind of like the Communist/Muslim Odinga’s revolt agains the Christian Kikuyu government of Kenya, with considerable help from Obama including a million dollar “campaign contribution” that helped fund the terrorists?

So, who are these guys that Obama is sanctioning. Ten to one they are members of the Christian government.
