(Ping to the two people I know who have a Wisconsin/Upper Mid-west Ping List - for a possible “Pro-Capitalism” protest opportunity in Chicago if people are up for a short drive... Does anyone know who holds the Chicago and Illinois ping lists?)
I propose they hold the Chicago Tea Party on July 4th... (although I would think the sooner the better)
We could all meet at Rush Street Beach in the late afternoon with either a package of tea bags each, or heck - bring your own ICE TEA/SUN TEA (better for the environment)!
Then after the peaceful protest on the beach, we could all march over to Buckingham Fountain, and the Taste of Chicago to view the Fireworks (which actually are I think, visible from the beach, too!).
Does anyone know if someone is seriously already putting this together? I would be ecstatic if the answer to that question is really, YES! :) If not, perhaps us FReepers could make it a reality!

A well thought out plan....He is very calculating....they will own the housing industry...the car industry....banking industry....all that is left is food and water...then there will be no money...so you will need a card....yup the card in order to get any service....sound familiar. King Obama is incompetent, a demagogue, an ideologue, a Marxist...whatever description you want to give, Americans are rejecting it because it is anti-American values for the past 250+ years. He makes the classic mistake of changing too much too fast, and most people don't want that kind of change anyway. We fought for Independence against these very policies. The French Revolution was started over behavior like this from the aristocracy. At some point, the people revolt.
This issue is easy for Americans to understand (like the House Banking scandal, for example): Responsible people DO NOT want to pay for the irresponsible.
I know... I just wonder how long it will take the majority of the American public to wake up and realize we have a socialist Emperor With No Clothes as Commander-in-Chief?
I'm hoping they wake up really SOON, and turn on him. I can always dream, can't I? ;-)
