Downsize as much as you can. Work enough for the family and yourself. Don’t buy a house or a car or a new television.
When the looters - to use Ayn Rand’s phrase - come for me, they won’t find anything to take. I can’t hide in a canyon in Colorado, but I can hide in plain sight and refuse to produce anything which will be taken from me. The looters might gain enough power to confiscate my property, but they’re going to be hard pressed to force me to work harder. Maybe I can lower my income to the point where I no longer pay taxes. What if everyone decided to do that?
Starve the state.
If the government wants to treat us as slaves, we need to respond in the best slave tradition - sullen obedience, half-assed effort, doing the minimum needed to avoid punishment, moving slowly from task to task without enthusiasm. There might be some slave revolts, too, but I expect those to be surpressed. They can’t force me to be productive, though.

I'm waiting for the Hollywood and "artistic" types to find out that Obama wants to take their money. When these dopes -- the Streisands, Spielbergs, Springsteens, etc. -- start getting their money confiscated, will they cheer "Yay! I'm part of Obama's solution!" or will they have a scowling face, saying "Hey Obama! I didn't think you were referring to ME!!"

They just don’t get it. You don’t raise taxes on folks and then expect them to work twice as hard to make the same amount they did before. It just doesn’t work. When the shelves are empty will they then realize this idiocy?

You really need to read, Atlas Shrugged, by Ayn Rand.
Unfortunately, that is not likely to be the case. When you get into the really high dollar income level, you have a lot of other opportunities available to you. Those multi-million dollar payouts for a movie, for example, aren't paid as income. They might be paid into the star's production company, or possibly into his foundation. He has access to foundation money, but it really isn't "his". Im not an expert in tax law, but i know these types of vehicles exist.
