In todays Washington Post, we learn that J. Edgar Hoovers FBI found itself quietly consumed with the vexing question of whether [Lyndon Johnson aide Jack] Valenti was gay. According to the article, the files, obtained by The Washington Post under the federal Freedom of Information Act, provide further insight into the conduct of the FBI under Hoover, for whom damaging personal information on the powerful was a useful tool in his interactions with presidents from Franklin D. Roosevelt to Richard M. Nixon.

This is incredible. BTW, Jack Valenti was a married man with 3 children. During World War II, he was a lieutenant in the United States Army Air Corps, flew 51 combat missions as the pilot-commander of a B-25 attack bomber and received four decorations.
The kind of information that made powerful government officials subject to blackmail by crime bosses and foreign governments SHOULD be the concern of the FBI.
But he had style.
Bill Moyers’ seeking information from the FBI to determine whether there were any homosexuals in the administration probably wasn’t due to any latent “homophobia” or anti-gay sentiments but was probably somthing more sinister and that is Mr. Moyers would blackmail that person and use it (the knowledge of the other person’s homosexuality) as a leverage to serve himself.
Mr. Moyers is a sanctimonious sycophant and self-server, nothing more.
This story, I believe, is a non-story.

Jack Valenti & wife...
Even LEFTY Bill Moyers.............Better now....
Given scumsuck Moyers' VERY close friendship with Walter Jenkins, I would say Moyers was definitely not the person you would want leading a troop of Boy Scouts. Thus his interest in nosing out poofters was probably as much self-protective as tactical. Remember, until he found a home in that heavy left toxic waste dump called the Corporation for Public Broadcasting, where pederasty, pooftery and maternal incest are resume enhancements, he always operated in the background, along with his fellow LBJ buttboy, Walter Jenkins. What the heck, he might have been looking for a date.
