Forty thousand people in New York City are paying 50% of the taxes.

And about 30% of the households that file get a credit from the government. The government sends them a check. That's the Earned Income Tax Credit.

That sounds fair...

And if the income starts getting “capped” at $500,000, these fountains of urban wealth dry up.

Toot sweet.

How long before liberals publish a hit list on these high income earners they way they did on Prop 8 supporters?

Well that would certainly be in line with the law of unintended consequences, and we all know that liberals really have a problem with critical thinking.

When it comes to wealth, liberals are truly stupid. They do not realize that it is entirely possible to kill the goose that lays the golden eggs.

Yeah, but if they’re liberals we don’t want them or their money.

They can go to... oh.... Montana.

Montana needs more people to be able to requalify as a state after the impending dissolution of the union and Reunification.

..............I’m sure, but 40,000 people) outta eight million pay half the tax load in the city...............

So, 40,000 “family” taxpayers, out of about 4 million households support 50% of NYC tax revenues. Amazing! That’s even more skewed than the national statistics!

1% pays 50% of the tab, and Zer0 placed a salary cap of $500k on the bankers. NY is so screwed.

But, we’ll bail out the city, we’re going to take care of every other loser!

That's what its all about, people who actually pay taxes supporting those who don't. There are now more of them than there are of us.

It hits me hard this time of year when I file my tax returns, I see all that money I'm paying in and think of the countless people who are getting their "refunds", who haven't paid in a damn'd dime. It's a bitter pill to swallow.

After hearing that, I’m almost thinking if New York got hit, it wouldn’t be all bad...in a twisted way of course.

They won’t have a choice soon. They will be forced to leave New York just to survive.

Sounds like these 40000 people need to get organized - then they could pretty much call the shots...
