Spineless.
Hate-filled, ideologue, anti-freedom collectivists DO NOT LIKE CARTOONS.
They don’t have an “Unnecessary” choice.
They are chumps for not properly distinguishing between monkeys and chimps. Truly racist.
I interviewed some Obama foreign policy heads at a Jerusalem zoo: HERE
I guess I'm a racist, too /s
however, calling Pres Bush “The Chimp” was perfectly acceptable and required no apology
They shouldn’t have apologized at all. Have the papers which portrayed Bush as a chimp in their cartoons apologized yet?
Since Nancy Pelosi & Friends are the ones who wrote the porkulus bill, this cartoon had NOTHING to do with Obama.
My view is: screw you CNN! But that didn’t seem to be a poll option.
Death of a President (Widescreen) (2006)
"Winner of the International Critics' Award at the Toronto Film Festival, DEATH OF A PRESIDENT is conceived as a fictional TV documentary broadcast in 2008, reflecting on a monstrous and cataclysmic event: the assassination of President George W. Bush on October 19th, 2007."

Hated the cartoon; whatever it was supposed to mean. That entire situation while having it’s wierd elements; left nothing ‘funny’ in the attack or in the final ‘kill’.
Where were all the leftists who were not complaining about ChimpyMcBush, BushHitler, and all the other hate-filled names GWB was called? The hypocrisy is stunning. In any event, the cartoon is accurate: the so-called stimulus bill apppears to have been written by a bunch of chimps, including Obama. And I apologize for insulting the intelligence of chimps and lumping them in with democrats.
There also isn’t a choice for
“the outrage over the cartoon was just another attempt to silence criticism of left wing politicians”
"You assume I have even seen this chimp cartoon...get a life"
???
Only a racist would see the Chimp as Obama.....after all how many times was Bush portrayed as a Chimp.....?
I’ll be honest. When I first saw that cartoon, I thought it was about Obama, too.
Gee, I don’t remember a CNN poll for that movie.
Do I really need a sarc tag?
I think some people are overly sensitive. I viewed the cartoon as an indictment of the stimulus package, not anything to do with Obama.
LOL!

That’s too bad isn’t it? The first three things I thought were “Travis”,”Congress” and “Damn, the policemen have some narrow heads”.
How do I view it?
Arial size 10, but would be happier if there was none at all.
I want to vote “not necessary” but it won’t let me..every time I click “vote”, it takes me to a page that is blank and at the bottom of the browser it says “stopped”...it won’t reload to count my vote..
For a trip down chimpy Bush memory lane;

Exactly. Thanks for posting the continuation of my thoughts.
I suspect it never occured to the artist that anybody would equate President Obama with the person who wrote Porkulus. Everybody knows that President Obama is a lightweight who could not draft a bill, even one as flawed as Porkulus, if his life depended on it.
President Obama would have to start with the Schoolhouse Rock version (”I’m just a bill. I am only a bill. And I’m sitting here on Capitol Hill...”) and work his way up from there.
Because if it had occured to the artist, he would never in a thousand years have drawn the cartoon. Drawing an African American as a monkey is completely off the reservation. And drawing the President as being shot is doubly so.
Which reminds me. A friend suggested that Al Sharpton and a Silver Back Gorilla would be virtually indistinguishable in a dimly lit room. I took grave exception and demanded an apology. Seeing the error of his way, he immediately apologized to all Silver Back Gorillas worldwide.
LOL!
So calling Bush Chimp for 8 years is perfectly fine though?
And please see post 13 in regards to your “shot comment”.

Martians don't like birds, leftists don't like chimps as apparently 'they' feel the connotation is that it represents President Obomba.
Of course this is patently ridiculous. The PC idiots are incapable of getting 'it'. The implication is that the so-called, sophomorically stupid 'stimulus bill' was written by a monkey. Humans aren't capable of such colossally stupid writing.
The officers quite appropriately put the mad chimp out of his misery. If only the matter of the stimulus I and stmulus II (and III, and IV) could be so easily dispatched.
Ping!
“When I first saw that cartoon, I thought it was about Obama, too.”
And in saying so, you reveal your racism.
When Sharpton says the same thing, he reveals his outrage at racism.
Get it?
perhaps they were referencing the infinite monkey theorem? HA!
(a monkey at a typewriter for a long enough period of time will re-create Shakespeare)
My point is, this could have been avoided had the cartoonist written “CONGRESS” on the chimp’s body. Then the Sharptons of the world would have had to find something else to complain about this week.
Gutless.
That poll must have been becoming VERY disappointing to CNN if they had to manipulate it as you describe. It must have gotten VERY bad because they have now replaced it with "Would you ever seek financial advice from a place of worship?"
LOL!
People are particularly sensitive about calling African Americans chimps. If you need further instruction on that point, I'm afraid I can't help you. As for shooting the President, we objected then, they object now.
But my point was that if the artist realized that people would have associated President Barack Obama with the person who wrote the stimulus bill, he probably would have demurred. But the fact is that everybody knows that Barack Obama had nothing at all to do with Porkulus. He is just along for the ride. His point was that Porkulus was written by an insane chimp, which seems like a pretty good point to me.
“People are particularly sensitive about calling African Americans chimps.”
First of all, Obama is HALF WHITE.
Secondly, as President, he had better be willing to take more criticism (and harsher) than he would otherwise get.
It comes with the office.
Get over it.
Looks like a new poll. Ah,well. Thanks anyway.
Well, of course, I was not saying that the artist in this particular case was comparing President Obama to a chimp. So if Obama is taking offense, he is going out of his way to do so.
I think, rather, that racial hustlers are tying to work this situation to their advantage. I would fault the artist for failing to realize the way others would mis-read his work, which has made this whole hooplah possible.
