Ann Coulter appeared on a Joy Behar-hosted edition of Larry King Live last night, and CNN kept superimposing the caption, "Ann Coulter Unleashed!" Boy, was the network, and Behar, just aching for Coulter to scorch up the airwaves. This is why Coulter gets invited on TV shows when she has a book to flog: she can be relied upon to say outrageous things, egged on by her hosts.
But last night, Behar was trying too hard. Quoting the conservative columnist Rich Lowry about some discussion point, Behar suddenly asked Coulter, "Did you ever date him?" Huh? Gee, kind of a sexist question, isn't that, Joy?
Trying to align Coulter with Rush Limbaugh, Behar said that Limbaugh wasn't a Republican but an "extreme right-winger" and that a lot of Limbaugh's listeners probably hated him. Coulter responded that when you have over 20 million listeners, you're not extreme but "dead down the center" when it comes to popularity.
She also asked Behar if, given the fact that Oprah Winfrey has an audience at least as big if not larger, would Behar say that a big chunk of Oprah's audience hates Oprah? Whatever you think of Coulter, this just makes pop-cultural sense. I always enjoy you on The View, Joy, but last night on Larry King, I'd have to say, you got served by Coulter.
Yeah, why is Joy Behar famous? There’s nothing original about her.
I'm not trying to pick a fight, but I find that REALLY, REALLY hard to believe.
I was taking care of my mother (broken hip - all good now) the last two months and was subjected to the View far too many times to be healthy. I think I have a fairly good sense of humor and am honest about comedy. I did not hear one funny sentence come out of her mouth - not one. Bill Maher, whom I can't stand, at least is amusing from time to time.
Here's my other bitch about the view (while I'm venting). Behar has TWO writers that help her with material - WHAT MATERIAL? Barbara Walters has created a show where she pits three professional comedians (one an Oscar winner) against the most inarticulate, uncharismatic, least intelligent "conservative" that Walters could find - Elizabeth.
If the View really cared about rating and "fairness" they would put a Coulter, Ingraham or Monica Crowley on that panel and see real conservative fight from an intellectual and charismatic perspective.
In short, I can't stand the View.
That is all.
Behar has a bigger mouth though, and a bigger head.

I didn't know that. All she ever does are the same tired old Bush and Cheney bashing material that's been done to death by all the other sad, worn out "comedians" on late night tv.
Her only other "quality" is shouting down Elizabeth along with Woopsie, who before she joined the view was also doing the comedy circuit ranting about Bush and Cheney.
I kinda feel sorry for Elizabeth sometimes, but only sometimes because if she had a brain in her head to think quick enough she would be able to slap those moonbats down daily.
He wasn't too hip for the room. He just stank up the place.

Elizabeth may not be the sharpest knife, but even she takes the lefties to the woodshed fairly regularly.
Just watched the whole thing. This is a real-time example of a liberal woman getting PWN3D! by a conservative woman.

But all those years and all those miles have taken their brutal toll, and now even the trash removal guy won't look twice at her. She hasn't gotten any in years, and it's turned her in to a hateful, vindictive liberal who uses appearances on national TV shows to talk about dildos.

After watching it I’d say in a previous life Joy Behar was a Baby Seal, and Ann Coulter was an Eskimo with a ball bat.
She’ made Behar look ridiculous. Not hard to do, but still enjoyable.
All that said, Behar isn’t stupid. She was smart enough to know the only way anyone would pay attention to her subbing for Larry the serial husband is to have Coulter on.
Instead of having Joy guest host, maybe ANN should have been the host! Do they ever have conservatives fill in on CNN? I never watch them. I suspect not too often and for the same reasons they would never think of adding a second combative conservative woman to the “View.”
