Dear Mr. Condit,

Please explain ALL of it. Let's start with what we know. Read the info we all collected in those early days, and respond to that mountain of evidence implicating you, please.

Oh, I was re-reading the Case Against Condit link (FR thread) in my previous post, when I looked at the date. 9/8/01. The thread continues until 9/10/01 in the late afternoon. I got shivers up my spine when I think why we armchair sleuths did not rejoin the thread after that.

WASHINGTON -- In the weeks before she vanished, Chandra Levy was more and more intent on getting Rep. Gary Condit to leave his wife, according to a friend who spent hours strategizing with the love-struck intern.

Despite warnings, Levy was determined to "have this confrontation" with Condit, pal Sven Jones is quoted as saying in a Talk magazine article. "She was not the type of woman who was going to be the little mistress waiting home on the couch," he said.

Jones, a spokesman at the Bureau of Prisons who became fast friends with Levy during her internship there, said he warned her not to press her 53-year-old congressman lover. But Levy, 24, reportedly told Jones, "I've invested too much in this."

Washington police repeatedly have said Condit is not a suspect in Levy's disappearance.

Jones said the Levy-Condit relationship was intense, with Levy alternately angry with Condit and placated by him. On April 28, two days before Levy disappeared, she left Jones a melancholy phone message. "She sounded different," he said. "She had a sort of odd tone." The next day, Levy spoke to Condit and left an upbeat message on her aunt's machine, saying she had "big news."

Jones, who has passed a police polygraph, refused to divulge Levy's secrets when first interviewed by the New York Daily News in early May, when it was still plausible that she might be alive. He spoke to Talk magazine a few weeks ago.

Well by golly, give this man instant citizenship, move him to the front the class, give him a kitchen and a bathroom, hell give him a whole freakin' house, let him have dinner at the white house.

McCain and Gramnesty tried that already, they'll be back.

WTH are you blind? ‘if there are details to back up the assertion that this money was paid by Condit to kill Levy....he would be in jail already.’ Yeppers, just like Ted Kennedy and all the other political criminals that have been incarcerated for their crimes???

Astounding how this type of human garbage is allowed into the country. And not only allowed, but encouraged and given privileges not available to citizens.

btw, I am glad for the family this case has finally been solved. Many thought it never would be. But more and more cold cases are solve. Those responsible for the deaths of Anna Nicole Smith and her son Daniel Smith might not be sleeping easy. Hoping there will be justice for them also. itmt, Howard K. Stern is busy like a bee filing lawsuits and has, or had, a sister-in-law in a sensitive job in California.
