Cal gave his opinion, agree or disagree, that in his day a proper young lady in Bristol’s situation was supposed to hide away in shame.
Should Bristol have disappeared?

What does he want Governor Palin to do? Resign as the governor of Alaska? Sorry Cal. We need her right where she is.

Hey Cal, dumbass, it’s the frickin’ socialist media who keep her on stage.
I’m sure she would love for the retards to leave her and her family alone.

Gov Palin is one of my favorite politicians.
However the MSM seems to have a bug up their azz
regarding her. They never seem to let an opportunity to go by to show her in bad light. Only FOX news gives her fair to good exposure. ABC, CBS, NBC, CNN, MSNBC are all against her it seems.

Bill Bennett was saying more or less the same thig the other morning. I know what Bristol said about teen sex wasn’t what they tried to teach her at Wasila Bible Church.

I think he’s right on the single mothers, it’s far too accepted today and it shouldn’t be. But he’s not right that Sarah should hide away because her daughter sinned. She has her own life to lead and her daughter will have to find her own way now. I just wish that way included MARRIAGE.
I do think Bristol should have gotten married when she learned she was pregnant, since she claimed she was so devoted to her boyfriend and he to her. It does reflect badly on Sarah’s conservatism that her own daughter doesn’t seem to realize the biblically right thing to do is to get married. There has been ample time to do what God would have Bristol do. Why the delay until after the baby is born? Right now the baby is illegitimate and that used to be a stigma and rightly so.

She has to restore her reputation because she was trashed by the media. She did ONE interview out of 500 pending requests!!
If Cal doesn’t understand that he needs to go away.

Is there no end to the anti-Palin Romney Attack team?
Twice might be coincidence, but this keeps repeating.
Several have appeared in as many days.
"Romney obviously hopes that a growing number of Americans
accept the view of Cal Thomas, a popular journalist and an evangelical."
"Writing in his syndicated column, Cal Thomas commended Romney
for standing "on principle" and putting "more noble things ahead of self-interest." "
Corroborating the "dots", this is from two days ago.
"Romney supporter turned Obama man Douglas Kmiec indulged in quite a litany of name-calling,
finger pointing and demagoguery against the GOP that would have been amazing from the same man only one year ago."
"Kmiec was named by Massachusetts Governor Mitt Romney
to head the Romney for President Committee on the Courts and the Constitution in 2007."
Peeking Out From the McCain Wreckage: Mitt Romney
Someone's got to say it: IS MITT ROMNEY RESPONSIBLE FOR OBAMA'S VICTORY?
Vanity: Team Romney Sabotaged Palin and Continuing to Do So?
Romney Supporters Trashing Palin
Romney advisors sniping at Palin?
Similar to Romney's other scortched earth tactics:
Novak: Fred Thompson drop-out rumors traced to Romney campaign
Said Novak: The rumors were "traced in part to Mitt Romney's campaign,
trying to stir up strife between McCain and Thompson."
"Despite outspending his rivals by huge margins throughout the primaries,
(Romney) lost Iowa, New Hampshire, South Carolina, Florida and California.
The only primaries he won were in Michigan, where Dad was governor; LDS states;
and a few states on Super Tuesday in which his California-obsessed rivals
couldn't spare the cash to advertise.
Only John Connolly in 1968 had a worse cash-to-delegates ratio.
And John McCain rightly did not like Romney's tactics during the primaries.
(W)hen (Romney's early leads) started slipping away, he resorted to unfair,
distorted, scorched-earth negative ads, betting that his opponents couldn't
afford to spend enough for the truth to catch up to his charges."

My advise to Sarah Palin, FWIW is...
To only give interviews to her local media for a year or so. She needs some time to repair the damage done by Couric, Gibbs and other MSM jackals.
She should, as quietly as possible, take some trips abroad. This could be done under the guise of foreign trade, investment and fact finding trips. Clearly, she needs a better grasp on the complexities of foreign relations and direct interaction with foreign heads of state is just what the doctor ordered.
And lastly, she should put a muzzle on any and all of her family. It doesn't help her cause to have her teenage daughter pontificate about explosive, complex domestic policy on national television.

Cal Thomas lost a lot of respect from me when he got into bed with the lying tub of crap, Bob Beckel. Soon after they wrote a book and went on a press tour to jointly decry lies and character assassination in politics, Bob Beckel immediately went on to do his duty of lies and character assassination in the 2008 Presidential campaign.
I hope Cal enjoys the money that he made with a professional liar.

I heard that exchange tonight and will defend Cal. His point was simply that in today’s society all lifestyles are accepted and glorified. As for the Palin family—a little mystery is always a good thing.

During the interview, Sarah herself said abstinence was naive. How about we focus our debate on her response rather than bashing a clueless teenager?
To: governsleastgovernsbest
I believe Sarah has been turning away hundreds of requests for interviews. He might check with Gretta and see what she has to say. I suspect she was trying to upgrade Bristol in the public’s eye after the teen was so badly trashed by the left.

Cal, it’s a free country. If you, or anybody else in the media, doesn’t want to write or talk about the Palins, just stop. Just do it. Spare me the whole “I wish I knew how to quit her” act. I’ve heard it since the inauguration, since the election, in some cases since the nomination. I don’t believe it anymore.
